I know we’d all take the second round of the tournament in a heartbeat but I’m fine with no Albany if it means we avoid Nova and Seton Hall tbh.
If not Albany, I want Tampa (family lives there) or Omaha (there might never be another time to visit Nebraska).
Assuming we make it, I'll be there, wherever "there" is.
Tampa on Thursday would be ideal for me. Skip the first day of bachelor party in Mexico for the game then short flight
After 29 years in the desert, short of the game being played on the moon , we should all be there. Now if the committee wants to insure a decentbRutgers following Greensboro, Albany , Cleveland and Tampa would do the trick. See you all there wherever there is.
I've been to Tampa, Greensboro and Albany and have no particular desire to go back to those places. Never been to Cleveland, Sacramento, Spokane, St. Louis or Omaha and can't say I have any burning desire to go to any of those places either, lol. Given that, I'd vote for the location most likely to get RU fans, i.e., Albany.
.
Can we throw the night before party in NYC and then take some buses from NYC to Albany the following morning? :Sly:Yes, this, hence my post earlier in the thread.

And you went Thataway to Piscataway!I've been to Boston, Charleston, Dayton, Louisiana
Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana
Monterey, Faraday, Santa Fe, Tallapoosa
Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa
Tennessee to Hennessey, Chicopee, Spirit Lake
Grand Lake, Devil's Lake, Crater Lake, for Pete's sake
I'd take it.
They try to keep schools close to their region for the early rounds. When it comes to regionals though they try to avoid putting a better seeded team (1-4) at a disadvantage by having a lower seeded school having a "home court" advantage. So while RU may be put in the Albany pod, its not likely for them to see the East NYC region
My son , the Gator , and I would have a great time!Fox sports bracket from Mike DeCourcy
7 seed vs 10 seed Florida

Am I right in assuming that Albany will feed one team, each, to the West and Midwest regionals given the dates being played (Albany is Thur/Sat and the West/Midwest regionals are Thurs/Sat)?The games are sorted by pods. There will be different regions playing in Albany
That could be fun. I was watching a Jackie Gleason interview a long time ago and he was talking about some train ride he was on with other entertainers and he said, “The whole train was the bar car.”the Amtrak should get us there quicker..the gravy train to the promised land
Seeds 1-5 are protected in the first round only. Nothing stops Rutgers from going to MSG specifically, but lots of bracketing principals that make things tough to place Big Ten teams this year..They try to keep schools close to their region for the early rounds.
