Very possible. Mathis went from lockdown to ineffective on Cowan as the game progressed.

Mathis should play 24 minutes max and never more than 6 minutes without a breather.

If we are an elite defensive team that’s the way it has to be

not sure though, he very well could have made things worse, if he turned it over Maryland would have shredded us. With a good Jacob we might win, with a bad Jacob we might lose by 20

Yay. We get a ribbon. If we don’t dance we will look at all these road “quality losses” as missed opportunities.

I'm not waiting for that. I can say they are missed opportunities NOW.

We shot 22-65 33.8% and 3-17 17.6% from 3 only 4-6 FTs and lost by 5 to #9 Md. on the road.

PF RU 20 Md 10

Any other team in the past 25 years, this is a blowout loss. Give this team credit where it's due. Imagine if they get the offense on track and learn to finish on the road before the B1G tournament. This team could beat ANY B1G team anywhere.

I think we showed we can hang with a top team on the road.

Just need to find a way to get over the hump.

There are no buts at this point in the season. Somebody better figure out what to do in crunch time pretty damn quick.

First it was 10 to 15 point losses and a blowout and now we're whining more being in the game with 2 minutes left.

Keep in mind it was 47-39 & we're not playing at Northwestern, it's a Top 10-15 team in Maryland.

Tough loss, maddening mistakes but this is an NCAA caliber team and will stick together and be fine.

Credit to Mathis for being tough and making tough shots, FTs and plays....I can see a winning streak being built together in the next couple of weeks.

Just words at this point.

This is true but I would’ve liked to see which Jacob we were gonna get. Plus Pike has shown he’ll pull JY from the game when he’s bad.
