Have to do this as if the tourney was being selected today, at the moment we are several rungs up from the bubble. I would project us a 8 seed currently so still as of today we are not on the bubble
Indiana is currently on the outside looking in. But, they finish with 5 of 9 against quality opponents at home while RU has 3 of 9 against quality opponents at home....Northwestern is a must win with no NET benefit.

Indiana is in the tourney right now if selection was today. 10 Big 10 schools. Purdue and Minnesota are looking on the outside right now

that site just takes the net rankings and puts them in the bracket by order, that is not how things work. That site is good for looking at NET nitty gritty but its bracket is just a copy and paste of net rankings plugged in

The OP is free to post his nonsense even if he has no idea what he’s talking about.
Glad everyone is comfortable after seeing a team showing that it may be incapable of winning an off-campus game against a decent team. 4-5 record down the stretch probably means beating Maryland, Illinois and Michigan with Livers.

We could literally get in by just winning all our remaining 4 home games, would it look better for our resume to win a road game or two, yes, but we would get in. Our 5 remaining road games are Q1 games.

It's tough but doable.

I don’t understand how Rutgers can be 1 single game out of 1st place in the unanimous, NCAA-selection-ranking-says-so TOUGHEST league in the country, and yet some RU fans say we are “on the bubble” ..... omg guys

Maryland’s last two games are wins over Iowa and AT Indiana. They’ve won their last 4 (also beat Purdue at att Northwestern). Hope this board is still optimistic after the Maryland game.

Of course the optimism is about the March 3rd game vs Maryland at the RAC which will likely be a MUST win.

Listen sometimes people post without thinking. That is what you did. We are a 6-7 seed today and not a bubble team. If you rooted for Indiana or Minnesota as they are on 2-3 game losing streaks, I would be worried. We are a ranked team . Get that through your mind. Gotta have some common sense.

I know where they’re seeded right now. I’m just pointing out that 3-6 and 0-1 in Big tourney rest of the way means you’re 18-13 against Div 1 teams. That will probably not get it done.

3-6 actually gets you to 19 wins, 10-10 reg season league play and trip to Dayton..i see at least 4 wins, plus at least 1 in BTT..Albany, Greensboro or Spokane. The spot in Dayton (first four) probably goes to Minn or Indiana..

They do not look at conference record and the Caldwell win doesn’t count. The NET would need to be good enough at 18-13.

Harsh drop as teams lost at home and only dropped 3 Seton Hall and Villanova to name 2 teams that also lost to unranked teams

its because its tightly wound from 18 to 34....SHU losing hurt as well. some of the lessers like Bryant losing alot too

Just don’t want dreaded 8-9 game. Frankly would rather be 10.

Still curious which northeast team gets Albany? RU?

PSU now in driver’s seat? Nova/SHU winner? Cuse lost to Duke. Dayton? Or would they be rewarded with Cleveland? UVA? Pitt? URI? MSU?
