I suspect Pike will try to get some high ranked guys, but he does his best work finding the specific guys who fit his system.

The guys who come to Rutgers will probably be a mix of guys you have heard of any guys completely off the radar.

Patterson is the type of player that meets the definition of a go to scorer ,can play multiple positions and would enhance the perception of Rutgers with top tier recruits.

Based on his visits I don't think Patterson has much interest in sticking around NJ

Your comment might turn out to be true because most top tier football and basketball recruits have chosen out of state schools.

Patterson doesn't follow anything Rutgers or Seton hall related on his social media pages. That's kinda of hard to do - unless you have no interest in being local. Looks like he like Xavier a little bit

Its reality that some recruits simply don't want to stay home.

I really want him too. Watching his highlight tape kinda reminds me of McConnell. A tall, lanky guard with ball skills and a smooth shooting stroke.
Plus it seems like we are doing really well with him and got in early. Seems like a realistic big target

Villanova has done a fantastic job in recruiting top tier NJ players.

Quinerly was a problem for them. Bryan Antoine hasn't done anything yet for them but that's more related to his shoulder injury I think.

Other than those two I'm not aware of any big NJ talents recently to go to Nova. Jay Wright dominates recruiting in eastern PA and Maryland though.
