He also said when someone asked what is different about this Rutgers team (after being 8-0 against RU coming in) .. his answer: we are more experienced now.
LOL if starting 4 sophomores is “more experienced” just wait til next year buddy it’s a new era in the B1G ! ;)

Of course I really like Painter, just saying though

I laughed at that too. The next couple years are primed for success which should only help recruiting going forward. This program isn't looking back

You can’t possibly like him as much as Fran McCaffrey!

It’s called team chemistry. We took the beatings and now as we get older we will do the beating. Paybacks will be sweet.

Well, four juniors & a grad transfer would be "more experienced" than Rutgers' most common lineup last season which consisted of three freshmen.

Rutgers won't just get in but has a chance to win some games in the NCAA
I thought Matt Painter was very complimentary to us. The man is a damn good coach. I think next to Izzo, he's probably on of the best coaches not only in the B1G but in the country. His second half adjustments were a thing of beauty. But with that said, Rutgers and Pikiell had an answer for every charge Purdue made.

Sure, if we actually had 4 juniors playing. We dont though. Young and Geo are the only two juniors getting minutes.

I wouldn't be shocked to see this team start off with a top 20 ranking next season.

I like the fact that opposing coaches are telling their teams that they need to be at least ten points better than RU simply to account for the RAC effect. I really think the mystique of the RAC is getting into people’s heads

Very Good coach..His plan to throw the long pass at the end of the game was brilliant. Fortunately it worked in our favor. Great stop by Myles, but if he fouls - he's out. Plus they have two shots on the line with no time expired.
This was a must game, as it will be a tall order to win there.

My bad. @ScarletDave said four sophomores (not sure where I got four juniors from) which would still be more experienced lineup than Rutgers' most common lineup last season which consisted of three freshmen.

All coaches say nice things about the other team. Pike will gloat about Northwestern being a few plays away from being a contender before and after we play them. Regarding Painter and last night, I thought he left Williams on the bench too long toward the end of the game. Haarms was not playing that well and we had trouble keeping Williams in check.

Purdue hoops is like Iowa football. Really good coaching, loyalty to their programs, win plenty with less talent than other top schools.
