Hawk, I almost went with Minnesota myself but just think Izzo will have them ready to play. Wouldn't surprise me though if the Gophers pulled it out at home.
I think Williams arena, Assembly Hall and Mackey arena are 3 of the toughest spots for a top team to get in and out of town with a W. I felt really confident that Indiana would find a way last night and I think Minnesota is equally as good as Indiana.
Do I think Izzo loses back to back road games....probably not. But Minnesota probably should have gotten a W at Purdue, and could be a little higher in the standings. I can see Oturu getting Tillman and others in foul trouble.
MSU, Maryland are the two programs that don't absolutely have to play with a sense of urgency for 40 minutes to win. Maryland took the entire 1st half off at Northwestern but can't see that working at Indiana.
Does MSU need this game?? I think they are the best team in the B1G and I don't think there's a close 2nd right now. I will not go against Izzo once February hits, but Minnesota is still on the bubble....beating #3 Ohio State in December looked like a resume making game for the Gophers, today....???.....not sure where that win lands them. Minnesota absolutely must have this game to make the NCAAs....
