Let's start working on Minnesota now. Weekend afternoon - should be a sellout also, especially if RU takes care of business against IU.

Getting to exactly how it should be. Can't wait till we figure out how to add 1500 to 2k seats in a few years.
Its already been figured out in renderings while Pernetti was AD.I doubt anything happens until construction project for soccer and lacrosse is completed at end of 2020.

10 months until the Rodkin Center opens ! Huge for both lacrosse teams, both soccer teams, all Rutgers student-athletes.

Those renderings were complete nonsense. There won’t be any added capacity with the current facilty.

yes, I don't recall seating upgrades just facade and lobby enhancements.
It had them but it was just a drawing. Not practical in reality. Sarge said on Rutgers Rant podcast last week that the only possibilities being talked about are converting the media room into a hospitality area and doing the same upstairs where the offices overlook the arena.

Hard to believe they can't figure out a way to convert that area above 118 into another 500 person section while figuring out the handicapped requirement.
Shame they took those seats from 118 and lost about 4 to 5 rows when they pushed the students back. You could find 1000 seats right there and get the crowd on endcourts back into the craze.

Sounds like this is going to be one of those phony sellouts where half the 300 level is empty.

Yeah, cheap tickets (under $20) available in almost every section in 300s, and even in the edges of the 200s (under $30). Wonder if this was something of a speculation game, where people bought a bunch of cheaper tickets in the hopes that we'd beat Illinois and there'd be a run on tickets they could make a buck off of.

Doesn't mean anything. Those people could be trying to make a crazy profit but if they don't get it they still head to game.

Crazy profit.... 394 of the tickets on StubHub are going for $20 or less (with 48 going for $10 or less). 78 more are going between $21-25.

There are about 450 seats in the 300s on StubHub now. That is approx 18% of the section.

Don't forget that Rutgers offered a twofer with the Penn St and Indiana game, so these tickets could be people who bought the twofer, but were primarily interested in the Penn St game.

I was being a bit hyperbolic about the "crazy profit" part yes but original point stands.

So they’re not really sold and it’s going to be a sellout with hundreds of empty seats.

Well, they were sold, but they may still be empty. As Upstream noted, there was a "twofer" deal for PSU/Indiana... and there was another twofer for Indiana/Minnesota. Possible that people took the deal to get tickets to one of the two games with a hope to offload the weekday game on the secondary market.

Good point about Pen St fans selling tonight but most of them are listed by RU.

RU gets to set the pricing and then lower them if necessary

They can't change the pricing on SK. Com

We should be happy because even though there are empty seats they are at least paid for whereas in the past we just had half of the arena empty
