It all starts with 1 lol

I do think we deserve to be above Wisky & PSU since we beat them both. However, a lot of this is what have you done for me lately.

I don't see how Penn State is still ahead of us when we beat them by 11 and Wisconsin beat them at Penn State both in the last week.

You might get one from Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times.

A few weeks ago while waiting for a press conference to begin I said "One team that is going to surprise some people is Rutgers." Joey Knight perked up and said "They're good."

This was the day before Rutgers played Caldwell so RU was 9-3.

Tbh, I don't think Joey had seen a single Rutgers game up to that point. However, I knew he had an AP Poll vote and wanted to put the program on his radar.

there is a lot of parity in the B10 this year

The key for the top 25 voters will be road wins

A win over the Illini on the road would have been huge. Our big wins have been at home so far.

I predict RU is around 30 in the various polls this week.

the illini may grab the 24-25 spot with 2 big wins this week.

how could he have Penn State still in and Indiana out

I believe his votes may have been cast earlier on Sunday and did not take Sunday's games into account since the OP was written Sunday evening ET while games were still being played.

Good anecdote on the fact that it’s cray the AP poll holds so much weight in the eyes of the public when most voters don’t watch nearly as much basketball as “the common man”.

Just speaking on personal experience it is that way with some voters for the AP football poll and some Heisman voters.

I don't know if it is "most voters" as you said.

Keep Chopping Coach Pike !!!:Rutgers:Basketball: :Hoops::CHOP:

Keep Chopping is for RU football. Pounding Nails is the phrase to use when it comes to men's basketball. Even Schiano uses it...

Carino couldnt give us a vote.....so thats an issue right there. Usually your hometown writers have some homerism so its hard to expect it from the rest of the country

He might be trying to avoid the "homer" accusation.
