Awful half for Terps. 12 turnovers, 8-16 FT. Cowan 3-7 from the stripe!

Meanwhile, Wieskamp (18 pts) is 4-5 from downtown. It is all him and Garza (32 of their 38 points).

Looks like we may end the night in 2nd place all by ourselves, even if just for a day.:cool2:

Iowa couldn't make shots at Nebraska but against Maryland at home its entirely a different story. This game is just another example showing the BIG is a home court league .It will be interesting to see how Michigan State performs on the road since they are considered the best team in the B1G.

Michigan State is 5-0 but it seems like they've mostly played home games. If so, that will have to even out in the weeks ahead.

They may have some issues with team bonding, my speculation as an outsider

I heard them talking about that on the post game a couple weeks ago. They hinted at something serious but didn't elaborate so not sure what it was. Something about not respecting Cowan as a leader.

Yeah the twins transferred, had their mom raking Turgeon over the coals on social media. They have good friends still on the team so it seems somewhat toxic there...a real shame.

This game is a cautionary tale for our game tomorrow. Any team — even good teams — can lose and look bad on the road. Just like Purdue got waxed the other night on the road and held to 37 points.

So if we lose by a large margin against Illinois, it doesn’t mean we suck or that the season’s over. It just means it’s REALLY difficult to play on the road in this conference.

Not surprised Iowa won but surprised they blew them out the door. Think Coach may start feeling heat. They should be better.

Maryland looked horrible, turnovers, stupid decisions with the ball, and missing shots, and Iowa was hitting a lot of 3’s.

Are you new here?

If we win, we're going to run the table to Atlanta and build a statue to Pike.

If we lose, we will never win another road game, miss the post-season, and start talking about coaching candidates.

Maryland continues to underachieves in the worst way. There’s no reason for them to not be at least a 3 seed but they were flat at SHU with no Powell and yesterday was flat out ugly

They look completely unprepared on road gameg. Iowa is not impressive defensively but Maryland struggled to score 49 points.

The freshman guard from NY gives Iowa something they didn’t have before. A little speed and toughness in the backcourt.

What it means is that the B1G teams that win some games on the road will have the advantage for NCAA bid.

No team scares me in the B1G. Hell we might actually be the second best team
