He is talented, but it would be a terrible sign to New Jersey high school coaches and players. It would tell them you can have a jerk kid on your team spit in the face of his own university and we would still allow him to come back if things don’t go well at xyz college.

Please list all the jerk things he did and how he spit in our face. It’s mostly urban legend.
Like I said, I was there at the Rutgers Shootout and we all saw the video. It wasn’t that his Dad was such a good player at RU and he decided not to go to his own university. It was the lack of class he showed.
Fwiw...there were definitely pics of the Orange sneakers at the event.
And frankly, I don't personally care about that vs. His dad's legacy I saw while playing with AY. And the games played about being on staff.
There's value in his play but I'm personally not buying his stock. Find another investment that doesn't feel like you're selling your soul.

We do have some strange fans. The only reason to not take JG if he wanted to come here would be if we had a superior grad or juco transfer option.
JG is clearly better than what we have ready to go next year. With some additional solid transfers, JG would make us competitive in about 8 games, whereas we would be in about 4-5 with current QBs. You have a little press conference, he says some wonderful things about RU, and we are set to go.
As to the OP, I'm always curious about posts concerning transitions being made by people with very low post counts. Whom might this be?

I trust Schiano will make the correct decision regarding whether to let this young man back on the team, not a bunch of anonymous blow hard posters on a sports board. My lord, after all of the begging some of you did to get Schiano back here, let the man do his job, if he brings him back it is because he will help the team win, period.

I’m no huge JG fan but this is just insane. Look at JG’s stats playing in the SEC and compare that to the garbage we have had. He would be a massive upgrade from Langan or Art.
I remember talk of his orange shoes which is dumb. I sat with him and a bunch of the “dream team” at a summer night scrimmage and he was not a douche at all
