Willie Taggart must see something in Mehringer to make him co-OC/WR coach.
Clint Trickett a holdover from Kiffen's staff is the other co-OC . He's also the QB coach after being TE coach under Kiffen

I just mentioned this in the other thread...Taggart is likely to call his own plays again like he used to do.

Clint's brother Travis was FAU's OC in 2016

All you guys who were clamoring for Moorhead (Hobbs), he is looking awful.
We dodged so many bullets.
Thank God fans justifiably revolted!

Lol Diaco is a terrible recruiter. He couldn't recruit New Jersey for Notre Dame, a program that sells itself.
Yeah, I don’t think it’s cause for us to worry but there are a group of posters who always bring his name up when we have openings (like right now, for instance, unless we’ve signed our DC but haven’t announced him yet).

Yes I posted that tweet and another in the Gleeson thread saying Gleeson is close to a deal with RU.....don’t know about the veracity of the persons making those tweets.

Matt Simon PJ’s wide receivers coach and Passing Game Coordinator might have a shot to replace Captain Kirk if Fleck stays in house
Simon started his coaching career at RU in 2012 and left Rutgers after the 2013 season for Fleck’s WMU program in 2014 . Then went with PJ to Minnesota.
Matt’s only 34, but seems to be someone Fleck wants in his programs.
Simon having a good showing in the Outback bowl against Auburn wonder if that could get him the job permanently.

Not actually related to the carousel but I posted Brady could go to the NFL as OC if Ravens DC Martindalte gets a HC spot. Read about this little technique of his a while back with regards to his WR group but just now came across a video of it. If he can repeat a similar sort of output without Burrow, he's going to be in demand very soon for not only NFL OC jobs but possibly college HC jobs as well.

From an Athletic article:

“You rarely see dropped balls on this field.”

Brady, who also coaches wideouts, has been creative at hard-wiring his players’ hands and minds. During downtime at practice, he will gather some of the receivers in a circle for the football version of pepper, where he’ll fling a tennis ball randomly at each from five feet away while calling out a play, expecting each to respond with his assignment while making the grab. A year ago, LSU ranked No. 96 in FBS in catch percentage, dropping almost 16 percent of catchable passes, according to Pro Football Focus. After an off-season spent catching thousands of passes in spite of all sorts of obstructions, the Tigers rank No. 8 in catch percentage, and that drop rate is down to less than 5 percent.

Baglio says, “That’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.”

For what? I never said he would r get fired, I simply said he shouldn’t get fired. Big difference. Let’s see who they get and what his record is after 2 years
I am totally with you, and was mocking SCILS--just lightly yanking your chain. :Fist: :FistBump:

They will end up with an underwhelming hire, most likely Napier who has potential but is no guaranteed HR. End of the day they will still win 6, 7, 8 games but now while paying a huge buyout.

and no matter what happens, SCILS will say it was a huge improvement over Moorhead.
