Marquette went from 50th to 37th yesterday in the NET rankings by beating Central Arkansas 106-54. The same powerhouse Central Arkansas program that entered the game at 2-9 & 323rd in the NET rankings.

Texas Tech was 34th and dropped to 40th....RU was 40th and moved down to 42nd today (Sunday).

I will ask a lot of people that keep saying OOC is somehow the be-all, end all, to explain this movement up THIRTEEN spots by Marquette.

Wisconsin buried Tennessee on the road by 20, 68-48....they went up 15 spots from 44th to 29th. Tennessee went from 46th to 72nd.

I think common sense and normal watching of the games makes sense. I can understand Wisconsin going up with a road win against Tennessee but how Marquette benefits by jumping 13 spots by beating an overmatched team by 106-54, means that there's something in the equation that measures margin of victory beyond 10 points.

I think Marquette is an NCAA tournament team anyway but strange to see how there's no (credible) way for fans to understand how these numbers get created.

Its way too early to be watching daily movement in net rankings. Thats a warning to this board caught up in ncaa talk about a school with zero road victories

Sos is very important..its why Wisconsin will likely have solid net rankings all year long

By mid to late January it will settle in as accurate with less volitale movement

Wisconsin's win at Tennessee moved the Badgers into the Top 30 which now gives us a QUAD 1 win. We are 1-2 in QUAD 1.

Beat Wisconsin (at RAC), Lost at MSU, Lost at Pitt (ranked 75th - if their NET goes to 76+ they move to QUAD 2).

18 B1G games remaining / as of now -
13 are Q1 games, 2 Q2, 2 Q3 and Nebraska at RAC is Q4.

If people are bothered by the daily updates don’t click the thread. I enjoy keeping track of it and unlike a lot of people on the internet, I really don’t care what other people on the same internet think.
Unless of course, they think we shouldn’t be focused on daily updates...

Maybe everyone else Marquette played this year won since the last ranking...

Still 53 in KenPom despite the SHU road win.

And more sobering, KenPom has us 12th out of the 14 B1G teams, with only NW and Nebby far below us.

But at least the one that matters (NET) has us at 37.

33rd in NET now... I would love to see these guys win the next 2!

Wisconsin and SHU are now in the Top 30. As long as they stay there we have 2 Quad 1 wins. Of our remaining 18 games we have plenty of opportunities to add to that number!!

We are going to play +/- 15-Quad 1 games and +/- another 5-Quad 2 games. That is 20 games of our 30 game schedule. Anyone who complained about our OOC SOS should have the above chart stapled to their forehead.

ive seen our ooc schedule on one site projected in the 90s and our overall in the 60s...dont know how accurate that is but lets see. Those numbers would be solid enough going forward.

Bryant(9-4) is up to NET ranking #160 a Quad 3 win now, with a game at home against FDU they must win today. Pitt is home to Wake and NJIT is home to Liberty.

Just noticed, 8 of the last 10 games are Quad 1 games, WOW! If we go 3-5 or 4-4, we are in. We also have 11 quad 1 games out of 17 games remaining, 5-6 would seal it, we are 2-2 already.

Bad home loss for Pitt against an average Wake Forrest team. Terrible decisions down the stretch.

Big East and Big 12 have all 10 teams in the top 100, but the B1G have 12 of 14 teams in the top 50. They are the top 3 conferences. ACC is pretty mediocre minus 6 out of 15 teams, 8 teams between 80 and 105. Pac 12 and SEC has 3 tiers, Top/Bubble/Bottom, 4/5/3 and 5/6/3.

Updated. Don’t expect much movement tonight but hopefully it moves in right direction over next week
