I saw him once last year when Rutgers Prep played Elizabeth. He was only a soph at that time but he is a very good player.

Can’t lose a Jersey kid to Lubbock, Texas for hoops. A whole bunch of other places, OK, but not Lubbock Texas unless the “bagman” is on double duty that day!

Agree but Chris Beard is a coach that guys want to play for. Two lottery picks in two seasons.

Are you serious? They made the NCAA finals last year. We made tournament last in 1991.

Texas Tech was in the Final Four last year. Chris Beard is a hell of a coach and a developer of players. He's won everywhere he's been. He doesn't need a bagman.

Patterson has already taken a couple of official visits. One to Florida and one to Indiana. Also has taken a few unofficial visits. LONG way to go in this recruitment.

Well aware they were in The Final Four, thanks! Again, wasn’t my point lol...That being said if you think he convinced a bunch of guys who went to the final four to go to Lubbock, Texas out of the goodness of their hearts, then good for you, but I have other suspicions and unfortunately that’s just the way the game is played these days.

I spent a week in Lubbock once and can't imagine how anyone would want to live there unless maybe they were a rancher or a farmer.

Don’t forget Patterson was at midknight madness which can’t help

Kids at this level aren't making decisions based on Midnight madness or what musical performances show up and perform....they make decisions based on wiping out Seton Hall by 20 and showing progress during the season. Patterson is a high profile player and not sure if RU is going to beat out a lot of suitors but I don't think RU is out of contention at all here.

hence him attending midnight madness “can’t help”

not “rutgers isn’t in it”

Didn't have chance to read the now.

If we go dancing, I like our chances. He likes Pike. But that is the hill we need to climb.

His Coach worked here when FHJ was head man.

Much like in football where we want a guy like Berger to say, "I'm going to stay close to home and be one of the guys that turns RU into a top 25 program", we need a local stud like Trey to say he will come to RU and be known forever as a guy that helped us break the NCAA famine.
