Is there some kind of bad blood between Francessa and Carlin? I thought they were friends.

Mike's spot to be filled by Evan Roberts and Joe Benigno. Interesting given all the chaos and moves that occurred last time he left.

Im sure all the Michael Kay fans will rejoice but will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I have no idea how Benigno has a job on the radio. You can barely understand what he is saying and every other word is bro.

While we’re talking radio, I had the pleasure to hear Rich DeMarco calling the Army/Navy game. His role at Army is not restricted to simply calling football games. I thought he did a terrific job when he had a role in Rutgers broadcasts.

I think it was about 20 years ago when Somers had a WFAN show with Steve Malzberg.

They used to call themselves "The Sweater and the Schmoozer."
Malzberg used to kid that they wanted to call the show "Two Jews and Yous" lol

I guess I’m in the minority but I can not stand JJ. I feel like he’s trying to fake a different accent every time I hear him talk. His voice and the way he talks irritates me.

Thanks yes I meant Russ. Malzberg used to do the show on WABC with Art Rust Jr. The first sports radio show I ever heard

He had the accent. Its seems to help to sound like one of the The East Side Kids to do sports radio in NY

In terms of knowledge and performance, which they’re not, but they think they are. So they have to be put in their place a little bit and that’s what I try to do at times.”

And when he said "at times" he means all the time because everyone knows Mike knows more about sports than anyone living. That being said I did like him arguing with the callers. That's the one problem I have with the Michael Kay show is they don't take enough callers. I really don't want to listen to the three of them talk about nonsense, I want them to interact with callers which they do very little of.
