He lives in Jamesburg but he plays for Don Bosco ?
That is some commute.
He actually plays for Bergen Catholic which is still a long commute but not quite as bad as Don Bosco. Chances of this kid going to Rutgers are slim to none.

6'4 295 a junior. Will be a national recruit next year. I have seen him in Jamesburg where he lives. Blocks out the sun. Would be a nice catch next year. Do we get him? Don't know but at least now we have a scintilla of a chance...
"Blocks out the sun" made me smile.

GS was a nice pick up, but do you honestly believe that kids who can choose to play for any school in country are going to pick Rutgers?
What'd OP say?

Yeah, so unless you know that penishead handed over a bag of cash weighing 45.2 pounds and the deal is airtight, the answer is YES, we might have a scintilla of a chance.

And a scintilla falls somewhere in the range between slim and none .

Look, after a very dark period of time, we're basking in a little ray of sunshine. Can't even leave that be can you? Move along you smug piece of dung.
Go ahead and bask. If you want to believe that Rutgers is now going to turn into some kind of college football powerhouse, go for it.

And if you want to resort to name calling, you can go for that too.

Don't come onto this board, insult us and expect to be treated civilly. We have hope for the future and you're just a dick for coming over here and insulting us. Now, please GTFO!

It happens occasionally.
Schiano has pulled in a recruit with offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame,USC & Miami.
So my answer is yes.

The days of Jersey being mined for talent without Rutgers fighting for them is over
Rutgers being a big program and the great PR the football program is having because of Greg being back , blunts your implication Rutgers won't be in the running for top talent.

Rutgers has every chance to turn into a real good program and that's what worries you.

Just off the top of my head, RU has landed bluechippers out of HS like:

Darius Hamilton (multiple P5 offers including B1G and SEC offers)

Anthony Davis (multiple P5 offers including B1G and SEC offers)

Savon Huggins (mutiple P5 offers including B1G and SEC offers)

These guys chose Rutgers when they could have played anywhere else at the time, and that was when we played in the AAC.

When we have ace recruiters on the staff (Jeff Hafley, Brian Angelichio and even Schiano himself) we have proven we can land national level recruits. Will it be easy? Of course not. Possible? Most definitely.

You've decided to drop your precious pearls of wisdom and recruiting expertise on this board for what reason?
You have a good team and program at PSU. No need to stop by here.

They have in the past for Schiano dumb dumb..so yes, it is possible. Perhaps they would prefer to play for child, sexual enablers up by you. That's a much better moral choice...NOT!

A kid commuting from Jamesburg to Oradell each day speaks to how screwed up North Jersey HS football is.

No one said anything about building RU into a college football powerhouse. You came on to our board, looked down your nose to say that a high school player in our backyard would never consider us because he has talent and a player with talent would never go lowly Rutgers. Unless you are Tywone Malone himself and I highly doubt it, you have no idea what he's thinking or what he will listen to and consider. And I actually believe you weren't trying to be antagonistic - that's the thing with Nits - you marinate in arrogance so long you fail to recognize that you reek of it.

Didn't Huggins commute from Jackson to Jersey City when he went to SPP?

Hansen used to pick him up and two other kids from down in the Monmouth County area and rice them up to school every day and bring them home in the evening. I think Hansen lives in Manalapan. I’m not sure if he still does that, but he did for Huggins and couple of other SPP kids.

The guys a troll. Why does everyone respond?
In my case, it's because of the hope I have now for the program and knowing the troll's acting like Ash is still recruiting because deep down inside that troll fears Rutgers now.
Not what it is now, but what it can become under Schiano
