We do just enough to stay in the game against them every time but just enough to lose . We leave points on the board and can’t hit enough open shots

This is why you can't celebrate leaving a zillion points on the table against a better team even if the game is close. You need to capitalize, they don't... and then they will anyway

exactly, playing MSU means little zero, if you lose, me personally I didnt get the sense RU could win this game even getting down to 3 or 4 points late, I am very okay with the loss overall because there are positives to take out for sure.

Nobody on this team can hit a freaking free throw, otherwise it would be a potential win

Without the 3 point shot Rutgers doesn't have the fire power to catch up.66-57.

Michigan State fell down twice on one possession and got a wide open dunk and a foul.

Can't make this **** up.

and we have been doing that for a program for two decades now, how many of these close games vs ranked teams in the past...vs MSU seemingly the last 3 years. we saw it during Rice and during Waters and during Bannon...just not good enough

Overall this is an encouraging outing. MSU is one of the best teams and we stuck with them all game. We come home Wednesday and we have two win two straight this week to salvage this month.

We don’t have the killer instincts

we don’t have the killer instincts or confidence to make a few more plays against these teams especially in the road . We’re satisfied being close .

Except for MJ, our Bigs are a liability in league games. Trouble moving with the ball.

Painful to watch..

Can't shoot.
poor ball movement.
can't shoot free throws.
undisciplined.
No will to win.

No will to win? They are hanging tough at #11 Michigan state the preseason #1. They have battled hard and have a will to win. The problem is you are correct on 1-4.

Harper was awful tonight
(And he’s not the only one).

And I can’t believe how bad of a FT shooter he has been.
Makes no sense.

Yeboah’s defense is not good.
Unnecessarily double teamed a post player, and left his man wide open for 3 in the corner.

I HATE how often we do that as a team.
HATE IT!!!
