BLOCK numbers to go with our BLOCK :Rutgers

At least we don’t have the see the ash era Nebraska look alike white helmets. That’s not who we are .

Would like the team to wear those 150 year helmets one game a year. How about wearing those helmets on Homecoming or the closest home game to the November anniversary?

Lose the stripes please. Bring back Rutgers across the chest.
RUTGERS font but with the bigger “RUTGERS” across the chest than the small letters they had then. But yea we have a font why don’t we use it. We instead use the made up number case that Nike stuck us with that’s a mixture of Syracuse and Illinois numbers
The only problem with the 2006 uniforms are that they were the wrong shade of red. Too deep. Not scarlet, which is unofficially defined as three parts red and one part orange. Definitely not official RU Pantone 186.

The number font seems faithful to the “Rutgers” lettering, but something about it looks weird. I think the 6 and 8 in particular are too round.
I prefer something like the Saints throwback number font:

The stripes don’t work now because they aren’t finished. Same on the legs.
Look at the Dolphins/Hurricanes (ignore the helmets) and imagine anything green on the Dolphins is red and anything orange is black...
Same idea with the Hurricanes, anything orange is red and anything green (maybe the numbers can be red) is black...
Let's get something unique. I hate not being able to tell the difference between us, Wisconsin, or Nebraska. The salmon uniforms as everyone calls them were great. Do something similar and bring back the battle chrome helmets.
The black uniforms were great. I say we bring them back and wear them for every game. Ditch the red uniforms.
Nobody else in the Big Ten has chrome. If we at least went back to battle chrome, we could distinguish ourselves. Now, if someone walks by a TV and sees a football game with Rutgers, they say, very interesting, is that Wisconsin or Nebraska playing?
