If you believe the press and player interviews coming out of NE why would Steve Belichick leave as the virtual DC of the Pats to be special teams coach? Maybe as the DC, but I don’t see ST.

He would be a great addition given his name and age. I bet under GS he could recruit the hell out of NJ and the Northeast. Think of the stories he could tell recruits about being a pipeline to the NFL whether as a player (i.e, the current DB of the Pats) or as a coach.

Doesn't seem realistic to me....I'm not sure you'd get both AC/Brown...Steve Belichick is going to leave NE to be ST coach here? Bostad is going to leave his home state Wisconsin for RU? McNulty back immediately after being fired? Sean Gleeson is good name but also a little iffy if he'd leave Ok. State so soon..but it would be back to NJ. A good handful of generous assumptions if you ask me....but it would be a good staff it came true.

I could see it. Belichick likes to have heavy involvement in his defense, and he has also increased the role of Jerod Mayo. He can continue that arrangement while Steve goes out for a few years gaining more varied experience than just being a partial D coordinator for his dad, so he is more prepared to eventually be a HC on his own.

There was some rumor here that mcnulty was fired for some non football stuff . That was never substantiated and I wonder now if that was some bs Hobbs spin leak

Belichick is the de facto DC for the Pats already getting mentored by his father. It makes 0 sense. In fact Belichick as HC at Rutgers makes more sense then coming here under Schiano as ST coordinator.

Bad article by Kratch with a lot of unrealistic possibilities.

It’s a dream team! A man can dream can’t he?
No doubt when/if this deal goes through he’ll have an excellent staff. With descent money to pay his guys he may actually be able to keep them. Instead of getting cherry picked, by schools offering better pay. Whoever comes here should be resting up now,because their going to work their tails off.

McNulty is hard to see coming back given the circumstances of his leaving. I also wonder if Brown & AC as co-DC is a better move.

Would love to re kindle some Florida connections. This staff is all NJ with the exception of OL

It amazes me that even after what we have seen go on since Sunday that people still think what they read are news articles and not both sides of a negotiation using sympathetic media sources to leak information they think will sway public opinion to their side.

he did say it was a dream scenario, the ideal, so it’s something to shoot for.

The new coach whoever it may be should bring in as assistant coaches a couple of guys with strong ties to high school programs in the Florida to Texas area. Sure, a lot of those D1 level recruits will want to play for state u, but there will be others who want to get 'away'. Now, Rutgers can offer them competing in the Big 10, a legit chance for early playing time,the off the field stuff available in the NYC-Philly corridor, and for those so inclined, strong and varied academic programs.

I believe he does. Happened to sit next to each other on a flight from Houston to Newark earlier this year. Great talk for about 90% of the flight. Really likeable guy. I asked why are you going to Newark said his family/house is still in NJ. I also saw him in terminal C a few months later.

While those are names tied to Schiano, it's not a good enough recruiting staff IMO.

We need Brown, both Camps and Partridge and I would give enough latitude to ask Fran Brown to select one of the coaches he's familiar with that can help in South Jersey.

We need more minority representation on a RU staff, if we want to attract the levels of talent necessary to catch up. Whether that's in "official coaches", or the funding of the support staff that Schiano is "job creating" for.....

Anything short Brown and both Camps is going to be surprising to me and we need to send shockwaves that this isn't just going to be a rewind of what was here before. To get into the 25 to 30 range nationally in recruiting, it has to be done in the 2021 and 2022 classes with some names early.

BC will take Don Brown the DC before Anthony Campanile, who's highest coaching position has been linebackers coach. Like they say you got to walk before you can run. That's why I laughed when I heard his name as a potential candidate for our job. That's a joke to even consider him or his brother. Only a moron does that.
