That is a very interesting tidbit which would counter the narrative that Hobbs didn’t want Schiano for the job.
Hobbs has his own "history" that he'll soon have to contend with, publicly.

Because it's going down.
If he is going to hire Schiano then why are they still trying to push him out? Wasn't that the whole point? That supposedly he didn't want to hire Schiano? So if he does hire Schiano and it appears that will be the case, why still push him out?
Something else must be going on here if true.
You need to spend some more time with the far right wingers on our CE Board or on social media in general, who think the Times is filled with communists and anyone (especially democrats) who reads that "liberal rag" is a pinko commie. Not sure they really believe that, as the Times is still the best paper in the USA (despite some stumbles, which all organizations have), but they certainly like to say those things.
Of course they are. Anonymous sources are used all the time. Haven't you ever read a newspaper or listened to a news broadcast?
I presume an anonymous source is consciously giving the reporter information for the story. This situation is eavesdropping on a conversation and reporting what you heard without permission from the source. Please help me understand how that is the same thing.
9 out of 10 birds agree-The NY Times is the best paper to line their cages with. All the news that is sheet to print. You need to spend some more time with the far right wingers on our CE Board or on social media in general, who think the Times is filled with communists and anyone (especially democrats) who reads that "liberal rag" is a pinko commie. Yup if GS fails the narrative will be Hobbs didn't give him the support he needed and GS didn't get a fair chance. Some people on this board are fanatical with the support for him to the point it is like the cult following. I personally don't care either way. If he's the best guy that we can get and makes Rutgers win then that's what matters but it won't excite me as a hire to start until I see some results off the field in recruitingHobbs is in a bad spot, if he hires
Anyone but GS, and that person fails,
Hobbs gets the blame, if he hires GS & he fails, this board will never accept
That GS is to blame never.
