I am not an advocate for opting out, but after looking at the playing surface in the San Diego bowl, if I thought I had a shot at the league I might consider it. I know it is a baseball field, but it is worse than my back yard growing up.

Dirt wasn’t the problem. I remember them playing on skin as well…the dirt was hard, but fairly even. Would have been better if they left the skin.Soft. I can still see Joe Willie throwing for 400 yards across Shea stadium dirt and all, wind howling and paper flying everywhere.
