He was playing great for a vet no less a rookie. Other rookies looking good too. Tomlinson shows signs of being a beast - very active and aware for his size. Giants showing signs they have a defense maybe

I can't take much from todays game. Top 2 QB's out, Keenum missed a couple wide open long balls and in general was terrible. Haskins was even worse. No WR's, and no RB's.

Take the win and run. 2-2 and feeling like we now have a chance, but Washington, at least the team we saw today, is awful.

I took the over at Fanduel for Giants win this season at 6. I'd do it again today.
.
Smart Call. Once Jones came in the offense looks much better. Defense seems to have a little more confidence and is playing well since the 2nd half of Bucs game. Get Tate back next week, Barkley fresh for the end season run and coupled with Jones passing this looks to be easily over a 6 win team. Playoffs? That's still a long shot.

Jones looks great. The time was right. No question about it.

But I will continue to defend Eli. Remember last year the team averaged over 30 points a game down the stretch.

Though Eli was never a consistent player. Jones because he is a more accurate thrower, and because he can make plays with his feet, I feel will prove to be more consistent.

This is about the future. And makes this year more exciting too. Stadium was buzzing.

Eli looks like he is a positive presence on the sideline as well.

Was he dissapointed at being replaced? Of course, but I think he is at the point in his career where he can accept it. And I think most Eli supporters are in the same boat. Even those that were clinging at the end.

But Jones looking this ready, this early is certainly encouraging. Even in a meh/bad statistical game, he was still making winning plays.

Yea it looks like @zappaa finally got his wish granted for a modern mobile QB. Saw a couple plays today where Eli would have been dead instead Jones was able to buy more time and make a play.

allen is more of a runner. Jones is a thrower who can run when he needs to.

I hope so. I still remember RG3's rookie season. Guy was tremendous but had no clue how to take a hit. When guys got around his ankles, he used to stand there like a tackling dummy until he got blasted. Knew he wouldn't last. A lot of those running QBs wear out and don't win SBs. Even Cam Newton is starting to have too much wear and tear.

Yes Jones needs to learn to slide, I yelled at the screen during todays game, "slide you idiot". But mobility in the pocket is a big plus.

Jones did have a couple plays today, including a head first first down, where I was thinking "Man that looked dangerous".

But stationary QB's are prone to injuries too.

As soon as Giants got the safety I was thinking they would blow it - get an INT/saftey etc. So they call a running play where Jones has to take several steps back into the end zone to hand-off to the 3rd string back

I honestly think Rutgers could score against the Giants. There D is that bad. Cousins with almost 300 yards in first half

I guess I was wrong about the defense. They're back to looking like absolute sh*t. All this with Minny without their top two WR's. The defensive backfield is lost in space everyone's open and can't tackle. It looks like they don't even want to try. Nate Solder has to be one of the biggest free agent bust out there.

Jones with two missed TD on overthrows to Shep
I know that first one to Sheppard hurt. He did have guys right in his face on both throws and is a rookie but damn. They now have a practice guy as there featured RB in this game in Hilliman and man he is slow compared to Gallman. Minny gonna play pass the rest of this game for sure

I'm happy with Jones... Overall hes playing fairly well for a rookie. Some things need to be cleaned up but he's throwing a lot of good balls. With Him and Barkley, we need to focus on building up the Oline and D now. Maybe in 2 years we can be in the playoff hunt.

Why go for it on 4th and 15 at your 30 down only 3? There was still 2:30 left with 2 timeouts. I'd rather take a chance with my D which has held them in the 2nd half.

Might as well have Eli in there. Giants RBs letting pass rushers woosh right past them unblocked. Jones turns into an Elmer upon contact just like Eli

Well Murray's pretty stupid running out of bounds saves the 2 minute TO. That might just give the Giants a chance.

Edit: OK we have our own idiot in Darius Slayton taking it out of the endzone and getting it to the 12 and eating up precious time instead of simply taking a knee. Auburn teaches them real dumb.

Giants OL is terrible again. And Jones really needs to work on his ball security.

This AZ pass defense is terrible and they have 8 friggin sacks?

Why do they even have Jones dropping back since he cant survive even tame rushes? What a mess.

After watching both teams this year I honestly think it would be a competetive game between Rutgers and the Giants. Both suck and are the mirror immage of eachother in there respective leagues.

Jones is a friggen man with no fear.
Those fumbles are a result of him keeping his eyes down field with no regard for his safety.
I know what you’re saying, but that fearlessness is what is going to make him special for years

Lets hope but this is painfull to watch. I know he is a rookie and gonna make mistakes but something has got to click or he will continue to get hit like this and not last long.
