Media is going to ask the question to Callaway. But the fans, like us discussing it here, should be able to see what is going on.

Really it's amazing how bad BVW's offseason moves were. Diaz Familia Cano and whatever his name is on the IR? Is this perhaps the worst offseason ever? And they just continue to double down on it.

Asdrubal Cabrera DFA'd by Texas. Might/should Mets be interested? In Dom Smith's absence they could certainly use another lefty bat.

I was with you up until the last sentence. I take it you are not fond of the Stroman acquisition? Most pundits seem to think it was a solid move.

Oh no, I like the stroman move.

I meant Cano in cleanup and Diaz as the everyday closer as my "double down" point.

Edit: and hey, for a day it pays off.

Currently playing like a number 1 can’t muss prospect- true 5 tool...he just needs to do it for a full year.
Conforto also playing lights out. Alonso needs to get his pre HR derby curse swing back and live that even in a batting slump, McNeil still usually comes up big in some way.
Need Davis playing every day and if Matz figures it out, something could happen

White Sox certainly won't be sad to see the Mets pitchers leave town. What was that like 3-4 runs in 3 games?

Mets are winning without Alsono hitting at all and McNeil slumping. Cano and Conforto stepping up. This could get interesting if the bullpen can continue to do well. Time will tell

Defense turning it around too. Rosario made a couple plays today and has been much better of late.

Conforto made a nice catch to end the 8th.

McNeil made a ridiculous play earlier in the game.

The defense has been lousy for most of the season, so if they can just be decent to solid down the stretch that would be a big help.

Mike Puma communicated Mets do not seem to have interest in Asdrubal Cabrera. Given lack of depth and current injuries (Smith, Nimmo,Lowrie etc) - I'd reconsider the position with Cabrera.

This 4 man bench we're running with doesn't make sense and none of them can really hit all that well. We basically have an extra RP who we never pitch, I think it's Nogosek right now. That's why as much as we're winning now and BVW wants to say we're in it how could you not then trade for some smaller pieces like an extra bench bat or bullpen depth? They probably should have just kept Vargas so they could move him to the pen and not have saved the $2 million.

I really have to question the intelligence of this manager sometimes. Not just his capabilities but his overall smarts. Down one run late your top objective is what? Keep it right there. Only one swing away from tying it up. So why in the world would the idiot pluck somebody from the very back end of the bullpen in that situation? Help me make sense of that one bro.
