Ask some questions here and I'll do my best to answer them over the next 24-48 hours. I'll text Abro and let him know too.
Which WRs were getting the most time? Hard to believe we have like 15 of them on the roster and none can apparently get any separation.
Cannot understand this at all--not how you stated what was said. But it is a fundamental WR skill.we've got kids, but they don't seem to have the ball skills to excel on this level. You throw the ball in the ballpark to Carroo, Sanu, and Britt, they'd come down with it. We don't have that yet, but i'm hopeful that the freshman will step up.

al !!!Good stuff, fire251.
- Which of the WRs there, were you most impressed with, and why?
- Comment on what you saw from Jonathan Lewis. Can he contribute in your opinion?
- Which LB most impressed you?
- How did Nick Krimin look?
- What did you see from O'Neal?
Seymour warmed up but sat out all day. Not really injured, but wore a green shirt. No limping, no casts.... just sore maybe. How about Seymour?

Jonathan Lewis is a rock solid 6'3" 249. He has hands and sticks his nose in to block. Adapting well and quickly. He isn't a rocket after catching (he will secure the ball before he runs though) but he runs hard like a fullback.
Drew Singleton looks fabulous at LB. HITS. Nose for the ball... very fleet footed... changes direction quickly... hard blitzer. The overall best I've seen at LB for a handful of years. A complete player.
Nick Krimin is looking good. A monstrous 6'5" 309. Always athletic with quick feet but is getting mean. It was impossible to see because of the players, but Krimin and Previlon had an epic battle against each other as they met during the bull in the ring. You could hear it from 30 yards downfield and the players went wild. He's ready.
Raiquon O'Neal 6'4 305lbs looks very comfortable at LT.... moves well... good on the run and at pass blocking.... he'll be fine.
BTW - Reggie Sutton was the 1st team RT while filling in for Kamaal Seymour. He also looked very good for being a diminutive 6'4 280lbs. I'm told these guys expect to gain 10-15lbs by August practice
During OL drills the coaches are pushing for quick, choppy steps while moving and driving. No leaning, stepping and pushing.
Did Micah Clark participate? If, how did he look. Thanks.
newwavedave called to congratulate me that I once again posted on this site. He also asked which players "surprised" me.
This is worth pointing out..... a pair of unknown or forgotten about players....
Defensively there is a walk on nose tackle, Freddie Recio, who lives in Union City but played at SPP. Two years ago he walked on at about 6'2" 240 and he now goes 6'2" 288lbs. Built like pro-wrestling is his destiny. lol. Tuff kid. He did very well and may work himself into the rotation.
Offensively ? I gotta say without question it was RB Charles Snorweah. Talk about the "WOW" factor. He makes a quick decision, hits the hole fast and with one or two cuts......... he's GONE. A bullet. He's always had trouble gaining weight and is now a muscular 5'10" 185, but he seems to be the quickest, fastest and most elusive of any back on the roster at practice. (more so than Blackshear or Pacheco) He scored about 4-5 TDs of 5-25 yards long.
Tough call Sports. Will Snorweah get reps is the question
Micah (now 6'4" 301) showed real twitch and quickness on the snap. He also seemed to play angry and made some nice plays. He appeared to have rolled his ankle very hard during a pile up. I would keep him out for the rest of the spring. Hopefully it isn't more than a high ankle sprain... with nothing torn or broken.Did Micah Clark participate? If, how did he look. Thanks.
Does fire251 have some meaning? Are you a firefighter?Micah (now 6'4" 301) showed real twitch and quickness on the snap. He also seemed to play angry and made some nice plays. I don't know.... Not sure if he was one of about 5 different kids returning punts in a drillWill Snorweah get a chance to return kicks or punts? Your description of him makes it sound like a way for him to see the field.

If that kid Recio can get to 300 lbs. that may help him with wear/tear through the season and give us some serviceable depth. Don't know if he can do that but it sounds like skills-wise he may be able to help.newwavedave called to congratulate me that I once again posted on this site. I think that is right. There are bodies, but they may not be of the skill level to compete in the B1G. That is the big fear even with 16 WRs on the roster! However, some may still be quite valuable if they can move around on the field such as switch to DB or LB and fight for a 2-deep spot.we've got kids, but they don't seem to have the ball skills to excel on this level. You throw the ball in the ballpark to Carroo, Sanu, and Britt, they'd come down with it. We don't have that yet, but i'm hopeful that the freshman will step up.

I'm not sure he needs to be that magical 300lb number everyone wants to see printed in the game day program. If that kid Recio can get to 300 lbs. that may help him with wear/tear through the season and give us some serviceable depth. Don't know if he can do that but it sounds like skills-wise he may be able to help.
BTW, a B1G THANK YOU for posting observations and helping start a conversation about Football on the Football board.
Not sure if a magical number or not, but the B!G OLs can dish out beatings so maybe just a number that can help counter those and dish some back.I'm not sure he needs to be that magical 300lb number everyone wants to see printed in the game day program.
It was nice to see an unknown walkon catch my eye in a scrimmage. He is listed as a 288lb junior that helps the idea of having some depth at NT. He has suffered the injury bug in both HS and college. See him in person with shorts and tshirt.... he's monstrous. Tuff kid that backs off of no one.
