Yeah, I was thinking about possibly losing to a mid-major in the cbi. And it would probably happen. No one would be psyched to play anyone in the bracket unless we met another high major. It'd be Fordham all over again. Players sleepwalking through the games. No thanks.

And we would have paid for the “honor.”

Something happened that threw off the team chemistry and led to Derek Culver not starting. Huggins took responsibility because he changed how he handled the players this season, but he also basically said that his team has too many "Me" guys.

This is an extension of 2 2018 guard recruits leaving WVU via transfer....maybe they had too many guards recruited and the 2 kids decided very early that it wasn't going to work out.

I have not even looked into any CBI scores and maybe Coastal Carolina has players like everyone else does....if you don't bring your A game, a team can make you look bad.

WVU is a primary leader or contender for a couple of RU targets in 2020 recruiting, wonder if the chemistry issues Huggins may have on the roster can get cleaned up in time for next year.

It might be a blessing that we didn't accept the CBI offer as we might have lost as well to a lesser conference team if we were not ready to play.
