One Cinderella hard to root for

Some (few) schools have right leaning/conservative structures and somehow they are any less easy to root for than the droves of left leaning cesspools that comprise the majority of “free thinking, open-minded” academia (RU included)

Moral relativism...gotta love it! (In any form)

Liberty is evil. It just is. The so-called "left-leaning" places do not have written into their rules condemnation of anybody at face value. And both Jerry Fallwell Sr and Jr are hate-filled swine. Worse than the Grahams. That's a hell of a lot different than things that evolve into the nonsense of "safe spaces." In life, there are no safe spaces, bitches. So I do agree with you to an extent. But again, those institutions are not built on that concept. Liberty, such an ironic name, teaches from the beginning that other people are not worthy. Big difference.

But back to the point. Liberty is evil. I hope the glass slipper breaks and it slices open an artery.

Academically it's not a player, but it's a great experience for its students
Pretty sure educating students should be #1 on the list of priorities of a University. If they want to be a real school , and not a theological institute (especially in a science curriculum) then they need to teach actual science.

If people want to go be taught about their religion that's their business, enjoy it. If the paying patrons enjoy themselves and have a good time then good for them!

But as an actual school? lol, no.

It's a masquerade.

Liberty university is a disgusting place. I agree, pure evil.

seek help

what kind of people watch a NCAA tournament and have to bring politics into it. Its disgusting. Grow up. Half of the country is consumed with a hate that they truly need to let go. Some here cannot watch a NCAA tourney without being triggered. No one is forcing you to go to Liberty or to donate to them. Will you be wearing your pink hat at High Point Solutions next year

I’m sorry if anyone is offended but there is a difference to me between a typical religious based university and Liberty
I'm a Catholic who despises Notre Dame athletics and I will never root for Boston College, Seton Hall and the rest of the Big East athletics. I do believe they are good
academic institutions that teach & preach good values. Liberty, while not Catholic, also teaches & preaches those values and that is what this world needs more of these
days.

“What is objectionable, what is dangerous about extremists, is not that they are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say about their cause, but what they say about their opponents.” Robert Kennedy

Bobby must be rolling over in his grave about what his once great party has become. The left is indeed what they accuse everyone else of: rabidly intolerant of anyone who doesn’t 100% agree with their misguided views these days.

They hired the ex Baylor AD who had a sex abuse scandal under his watch that had him resign after the FB HC was fired.
Liberty hire for its FB HC a person that Ole Miss got rid of because of an NCAA investigation into cheating on his watch ( player admitted receiving money as a recruit) and a fondness for calling "escort" services.Along with the Ole Miss FB program being accused of not properly controlling the program that FB HC was running.
That HC was given the choice of resigning or being fired under his contract's moral clause

Yep a good school to root for.
Sounds like the type that feels winning tops all and Cult members defend

Values? Seton Hall and some of their top alum such as Brennan are among the most corrupt out there. Their 91 team featured a one year ringer (Gaze) and someone who probably didn't belong in high school let alone "college" (wright). BC was the focus of a major gambling scandal. "Holy men" run these schools.

Liberty (and several other Evangelical colleges) have strict moral rules and dress codes that they force on students. (Curfew, required chapel attendance, dorm cleaning inspections, banned certain movies and music)

Other church-affiliated institutions don't have those rules.

As an academic school, won't dispute what you are saying about all of the schools you mentioned and can understand why you won't root for the religion affiliated schools you mentioned.

It seems like "Religious" schools like Baylor sometimes don't include their so called religious and moral values when it comes to the way they run their Athletic Departments.
Years ago a religious affiliated school received the NCAA death penalty for the way it's football program cheated to win.

Just because a sports program is run by a Religion affiliated University, doesn't mean that school won't go against the beliefs its religion is supposed to follow in order to win.
Sometimes winning comes before following the tenets that school's faith is supposed to be about
If you look you'll probably find a public University or two with more morals in the way it runs its sports programs that some religious school do..
