Evidence why you never listen to Midwesterners regarding fashion:

The Nebraska uniform with that weird looking N on it is the worst uniform this side of Oregon football.

I actually really like our uniforms.

I think Nebraska , Wisconsin and Iowa Unis all leave A LOT to be desired.

Ours could be better but this is plain ol Midwest ********. Just a bunch of homers.

Must have been a survey by the Toledo Blade.

they did get it right about the thick shoulder straps, that is beginning to get outdated

but their comments about the secondary color is just so random. they also picked probably two of the worst pics to put up there.

literally 14 unis that all pretty much look the exact same other than a couple colors......

make a list, pick on Rutgers...... wow, there's some deep reporting there...........

I don’t think they are bad. I think uniforms should look cool to the players and recruits, while also not being a clown outfit.

When was the last time RU was invited. Is the drought longer than the NCAA's?

I hope if invited RU has Hansel model the uni's. He's so in right now.

Screw every Debbie Downer. Rutgers is older than all B1G schools and Scarlet etc have been our colors since Nov.6 1869, if not before. All copycats need to change.

This. The B1G probably has the worst (boring) uniforms as a conference anyway. Some will call them classic. Purdue has the most putrid color scheme on earth and Iowa and Purdue look like they have a cheap rubber stamp on the front of their jerseys.

I think this most recent one for Basketball is pretty darn good. Didn’t love the black shoulders at first but after seeing them on the players and TV...not too shabby.

Just give me true block numbers instead of this “Rutgers” font carried over from Nike. Got to be someone in Athletics who really likes it for that to have happened.

I'm getting ready to begin attending some hoops road games. Looking forward to seeing those crying midwest fans as we walk out winners. Wish i had had made the trip to Iowa for this year's stomping.

Believe it or not, those were Ped State's original colors...from 1887-1890. Changed to blue and white because the pink color faded in the sun and the sports teams were mocked by opposing teams regarding the pink color scheme.

I dig our football uniforms. Our hoops uniforms are terrible. Reminds me of the ugly And1 uniforms from the 90's.

Something clean would be nice.

I feel the opposite way, our basketball uniforms are fine, it is our football uniforms that are the worst. I hate the strips, the lack of black as a secondary color around the numbers, and especially hate in the white helmets.

Totally agree. They reflect how much of a total embarrassment that the program has become. If they are on tv with the white helmets and red jerseys I change the channel. Dumbest uniforms. And the dumb coach let’s the kids decide on this pathetic color combo. Infuriating

Football needs just a few tweaks IMO to get it right:

- Helmet should have stripes (think Marco era) with a black face mask
- True block numbers
- NJ thing should either be on the back of the helmet and/or on the front neck yoke. Terrible spot where it is now
- Stripes are fine but should have black as an accent

I don’t mind the all-white away uniform which includes the helmet. But not married to it.

Do like the Stars and Stripes Block R for a game on 9/11, Veterans Day, Pearl Harbor or against an Academy.

No problems with our unis this year. They get nicer every version. Our black history month ones were pretty too. ****'em. Who cares

switch RU's with Michigan's and we'd still be last.

the font is too small, but its bigger than Michigan, whole thing is dumb.
