RU Should have been able to cut into the lead more with IU’sfoul trouble. IU’s Top 2 players were sitting for a good portion of the half. Foul trouble will be an issue for both teams in 2nd

McConnell is just better than Geo right now.
Has been for a while. Neither are great on the ball defenders but Caleb is better at everything else. Geo's actually a little soft - doesn't go strong to the basket and fades away on every shot. He seems to avoid contact. Other than the last minute of play when he is fouled how often does he get to the line during the rest of the game? Not much for a PG. If he is our PG in two years we'll still be near the bottom of the league.

If u noticed on the 3, caleb was so sneaky and just floated to the right spot knowing exactly what he was doing. His guy was ready to rotate down to the block in the case of a double and he slipped out the back door and took advantage. Just a good ball player
Yeah just has the feel for the game and understands where he needs to be

Indiana will likely commit more turnovers and shoot a lower FT percentage second half. I also have to think we do a better job of not giving up so many easy buckets around the rim... We can definitely make a run. Odds are Indiana can't replicate this first half

It seems like this on TV, so I don’t know how true it is but...instead of Geo being the vocal leader in the huddles, someone like Eugene needs to lead even more so because Geo swings too heavily with the emotion of the game. We’re struggling, he’s probably struggling. We’re balling, he’s probably playing solid. Leaders should be able to play through other opposing runs and no matter how we’re doing Eugene is always an option to take a shot. No matter your thoughts on Corey vs. freshman development, I do miss the ice in his veins and leadership he brought. Hopefully Mulcahy and Young can bring some swagger as the PG’s.

On another note, Geo, if you read these boards, get off the damn phone and stop worrying about other people’s damn opinions!!!

That was the worst defensive rebounding half we have had in 3 years. Start boxing out. Ratchet up the defense and hedge the damn ball screen. Caleb is doing everything right and Geo is not. I cannot believe he will have 4 terrible halves in a row. I expect a big second half out of him. Harper getting that ******** Hollywood foul on Langford’s to get his 2nd hurt. He will likely have a big second half. Indiana will not continue to shoot well. Montez has to play under control and when he does and attacks , he is right. When he loses his dribble and plows it is a turnover or bad shot. Control. Pound the ball to Eugene, Myles and Shaquille’s and get Morgan into more foul trouble and play inside out. 10 point deficit can be wiped out with increased intensity on the glass and defensively.

Morgan and Green are a combined 10-11 from the field. Can't let that continue in the second half and it probably won't.

Geo will shoot step back 3s but not on a kick out when he's facing the rim stepping into it dead on... Odd
