Wow. It’s one of those games where one team has everything single thing going their way and the others heads are completely somewhere else. MD looks really really bad.
Maryland looks like they assumed this was a win without being ready to earn it. Totally outhustled for the first 30 minutes of the game. They are waking up but I don't think there is enough time to come all the way back.
Penn State is hustling, Maryland was sleepwalking. They have it down to 16 now that they are working harder but only 5 minutes left.
Terps are 2-16 from behind the arc. Penn State is 7-18. Twenty point margin with 4 minutes left.

All three teams we have left have been hot and cold this year. I give us a chance in all three, mainly based on the way we’ve played more recently.
I would pick PSU to beat both Wisky and IL at this point, based on they way they’re playing, so we may have to beat them just to have a tie-breaker over them.

If Turgeon did not have his team believing PSU is legit and as hot a team there is in the league he is an idiot.
It was both. Plus, Turgeon is a great recruiter, but a terrible game coach. MD just chucked up errant 3’s all game.
That is the kind of loss that could cost a Maryland basketball coach his job. Losing to Penn State in basketball is unacceptable to the Maryland fan base.
One Maryland fan called me tonight and call the situation "a catastrophe."

The way Penn state has been playing, and the way other teams they have been facing are playing.
Penn State's coach is motivated to save his job. He is also making sure his team knows that they can upset other team's tournament hope.
Rutgers has beat them once. Rutgers has also gotten better.
Penn State is a bad match up right now because they are scoring at a high level and have multiple scoring threats.which makes them difficult to defend.
Been watching Big Ten basketball for 6 years now, starting the season after we were announced however, in the AAC. It's the most competitive top to bottom with the most talent that I've watched with this Conference. Every night is a rock fight with many great games. I can't wait for the B1G Tournament in 2 weeks.
exactly my thought. I love how a lot of people assume 2-1 and will be disaointed if we don't . We can EASILY lose all three games and the season is just as succesful . We are making progress and good players coming and Pike should be able to continue the get better players...
I still love our chances at home against PSU, if they were playing like they are at this time and were away i wouldn't comment.

Uhm...so do we...literally...we’re like 335th (out of in teams) of “experienced rosters” IIRC.
It’s all mentality right now. If our players go in saying “o it won’t be easy now, penn state is really good now, if we win it’s gonna be a close game” then they will accept being in a close game. We have to still go in there planning to win going away and just play super hard every possession and not accept being up 4 or 6 as adequate. Go in with the mindset of blowout and I think we can really win one by 10
