tough loss for them, still NCAA bound for now but its a really tough finish for them

at SJU, at Gtown and home to Nova/Marq

they need to split those

Have to root for The Johnnies, Xavier was so passive up 16. Attack the basket.

Wins over Maryland and Kentucky. Think they are in. Still they are making it interesting if Georgetown or Providence get hot.

Maryland and Kentucky dwarf everything and that Kentucky win is enormous

Looking at their remaining games I can see them winning one and losing the other three

If this were to happen then you have to start looking at their overall record which would he 17-13, and that by no means is NCAA worthy, even with those two big wins

If they win more than the one game then they sit at 18 wins and you can start to make a case for them. But normally a 17-13 record team
Would be overlooked on selection day

Parity is causing more losses and making the NCAA selection process more difficult with fewer teams achieving 20 plus wins.

NExt year we are going 18-13 and would be a lock this year, but next year the bubble is much different and we are a 3 seed in the NIT .

I wish I believed this.

I think the Little East only gets 3 teams this year, and I agree that right now SHU is the third team in - with Nova and Marquette both stone-cold locks. But, a lot could change down the stretch. I can't imagine a team that is sub-.500 in conference in a down year for the BE making the tourney.

bubble or not -I'd never root for them to get to NCAA--still think they wind up with losing league record in a weak Big East

I’m quite sure you don’t speak for all SHU fans when you say that.

A little perspective never hurts.

Actually there was a very positive thread about RU and the Iowa game. Clear majority were rooting for you guys. Of course no love for Fran so that likely played a part but honestly with the exception of when some of your cretinous posters go nuts most of us wish you well.

St. John’s is the weird team. When on game like at RU could beat anybody.
Big East may be down but it’s deep. PAC 12 is way down and so is A10. Big East teams have as good a chance as any.
