We took another step which is what we really needed to do. It was sloppy but who cares. Now we come home for Iowa with momentum.
This dude on the big 10 network really loves Rutgers.
@bowlgoal He does a lot of our games. Knows the players, is complimentary and objective. I enjoy him.
I think everyone loves an underdog story.
After our earlier loss to Northwestern several guys stated we would not win another BIG game. Well we have 5 now. They should eat some crow. We are 4-3 now over our last 7 games.
I think he is just a fair announcer that really knows the game. Doesn't try to paint a particular story.. juts says what he sees. We are so used to announcers promoting the star programs at the expense of Rutgers it is startling refreshing.

Big win on the road, because ANY win in the B1G on the road is a BIG deal. You saw what happened last night with Michigan going down at PSU. There is so much parity in this league that on any given night, the best team in the B1G will lose to the worst team in the conference. This was a great road win, and for me there's no need to criticize anything about it except that we won.
Stephen Bardo announces with a positive slant and encouraging demeanor. He has been my favorite B10 announcer and analyst for the past few years.
I like him too. I also like Crispin. Even though he's a PSU alum, he's been very positive about our improvement.
He is very fair. This is after he was kind of dismissive of Rutgers last year during the MSG tourney run....Pike and the team has won him over.
Was also part of one of the best NCAA basketball teams of all time to never win a NCAA championship. Stephen Bardo, Nick Anderson, Kendall Gill, Marcus Liberty, and Kenny Battle. Absolute stud team that lost in the Final Four to a Michigan team they had beaten twice during the season.
Love how Bardo calls out the refs for watching RU players getting abused and no calls.

Many thought I was crazy. I am... but I did predict 7 big 10 wins when we only had 1 coming off the 35 point loss at Purdue.

True but we could also just as easily have lost four of them. Only IU at home was really in any way decisive.
Lol...RU Sojo has gone silent / underground......always criticizing Pike wondering where the wins were going to come from....lol. Sojo - know you're a loyal fan but enjoy the process...It's going to be so damn fun and exciting.......but with frustrating times for sure with such a young team...
It is interesting that Bardo Seems to think that we get the bad whistle.
It’s a tough league. But there’s a fine line between winning and losing. We are not at the point where we need convincing wins. There’s a bunch of young kids on the court for Rutgers. This is a fun group to watch. Saturday was painful. Tonight was sweet.
If someone has all the BTN games by Bardo.. might make for a cool video to see how many times he has mentioned Rutgers getting abused on calls. Would make for a nice clip video.
And yes, I hope we get some home cooking at the RAC for once. BEAT IOWA. They can see like hawks? Big flippin' deal.. Knights have swords... skewer them.

Ok, I am NOT being grumpy. I was only saying you can't play the "we should have had 7 wins" game about some close losses when our wins were all nip and tuck as well.
Does "tough-break-for-Rutgers" kick in when we miss the front end of a one-and-one in the last 3 minutes? It sure feels tough from my side of the TV.

I think the concept was fairly clear.. its about bad officiating that hurts Rutgers.
Not arguing. I think RUPete agreed about the pain of the 1 and 1. I will say that the refs let them play last night. Bloody noses....bloody mouths...it's better than a conga line at the stripe.

Now they gotta beat Iowa at the RAC. Beat another top 25 opponent at home. Iowa is a must win for any post season like the CBI.
