A ranked team, at home no less, scores 24 points in the entire game. Va Tech wins 47-24. Wolfpack shoots 17% from the floor (9-53) and 7% from 3 (2-28). That is some bad basketball at home from a ranked team.

Rutgers has never scored 24 in a game, so what's your point?
They just barely outscored their ranking. 
He was trying in a round about way to say Rutgers has difficulty on offense.
Actually we’ve scored 24 points in every game.
Well, we forget these are still 18-22 year old kids and **** happens. And even though they were awful on the offensive side, VaTech ranked #12 didn't exactly light up the scoreboard either. Forty-seven points by VaTech was pretty lousy too.
Va Tech has been lucky to hold onto Buzz Williams. Terrific coach destined for bigger job. Perhaps Texas if Shaka Smart ever moves on.
Just imagine, HC Kevin Keatts telling his team at halftime, “We scored 14 points this half and we’re only down by 6, now let’s get out there and show this home crowd what #23 NC State basketball is all about!” And then they promptly go out and score 10 points in the second half...

I don’t quite know how it’s possible that #12 only scored 47 in a game, or #23 only scored 24 points, and only 10!? In the entire second half ... I have to think there was a mistake and the game balls were under inflated, or the rims weren’t checked and were just a bit too far back on both sidelines or something. Has to be
I was at the EMU game where we held them to 4 points in the 1st half. It was so bad that I almost felt sorry for them.Almost.
had to look at the box score to see how this could happen.
1. Tempo was only 53. NC State is 24th in tempo at an adjusted 73.9 possessions after this game.
2. 2-28 from 3 point land
3. They got 14 OREB and only 10 TO and still only manged 24 pts?!?!
4. Only got to the line 6 times and made 4
5. They were 3-16 "at the rim"
6. 1 guy had an assist and he had only 2
They scored 65 points vs. VA on 66 possessions the game before
