Lol there was a time there bac where I think you and I were the only posters

Never left, but posted less and many posters have left. Things always get better when there's hope and competitiveness. It's so nice to see. Can't wait for the RAC to really be bac and we know it will be, if the improving trajectory continues and I think it will (but as a Rutgers fan, I'm always on the lookout for disaster, lol).

This board is always been much better than the football ...partially because it’s all basketball talk.

Plus it’s nice to have an unified voice to shout down the types mike ncaaball, tommy Gunn (g-d bless Tommy amaker), and some other jackasses from the outside that have tried to mess up this forum

As I may have told you I was a hoops season ticketholder (108) for 22 years, giving them up in 2011. I agree with the intimacy. Also, It was pretty much the same folks sitting around you every year.

all the ones from my section are gone but 2, at least in the past couple years I am not totally surrounded by opposing teams fans like under Jordan

So happy that Year 4 of Jordan never happened. I kinda get the same feeling of year 4 of Ash, hoping somehow it never happens.
Feel the same way about Ash. I will be shocked if this isn’t a waste of a year in football

And it’s still just the lowercase w too.

Watch what happens when we get to the W and hopefully W kind.

Agreed. The motto for too many of the last several years for RU fans has been “the beatings will continue until morale improves.” Finally, this RU team is handing out a few beatings of their own.

Well my comment about the w’s was more for outsiders noticing than just some of us coming back to this Board.

A steady pulse in Football got a lot of eyeballs. But for Basketball I think because there is much more local and close by competition we will have to more than that for the same type of coverage.

And vice-versa of course

I was a lurker for a very long time but even now don’t post much... however I’m THAT guy where I work that shows school pride for ALL sports at RU...it has been tough since the Waters days seeing our Hoops team struggle but what finally gave me satisfaction happened after last weekend:

A coworker is a wannabe-PSU fan of convenience...PSU this, PSU that, real vomitworthy crap.... so on Monday after both teams beat PSU I emailed him the pitiful headlines from a local Crappy Valley paper... “Rutgers beats PSU men...” “PSU women can’t hang on against Rutgers...” and got silence... I walked over and asked, “Hey, we got a nice 2fer this weekend..”

His response? “Mumble mumble, yeah, I don’t care about basketball..”. I asked if he cared about wrestling.... “nah, just football”

Fair weathered douche but boy was it fun! Especially the snickers from the surrounding cube farm!

You gotta take those moments, you know?

Love what’s going on on the hardwood!!!!
