About damn time we shot above 40% from 3 while our opponent shot 25%
The 3-pt shooting was so important because PSU did a masterful job of playing interior defense and taking away our bigs. We could barely even make an entry pass to give our bigs a chance to score. And they blocked 7 shots.
So we NEEDED to hit those threes, and boy were they ever timely -- Harper, McConnell, Kiss, and that dagger by Baker with about 3:30 left on the clock.
It was a good gameplan by Chambers... take away the interior in the halfcourt and hope Rutgers shoots their typical game from outside. Today RU hit enough (44% is objectively good!) and, as you pointed out, took care of business at the line.
Making layups, treys and FTs sounds like a pretty good way to win more games than you lose.[winking]Now all we have to do is make layups.
