I’m really not that savvy when it comes to technology so I always assumed a router is a router. At home my TV’s are hard wired, but the phones, tablets, and laptops rely on WiFi. For watching Netflix and browsing the internet on these devices the WiFi works fine. Ive recently upgraded my connection to a 200mbps broadband but I am unsure if it is coaxial or fiber. Regardless it is the best that I can get in my part of Mumbai.
Where I struggle is when I am live streaming something or using WiFi for work calls. The speed is consistently around 40mbps download and 50mbps uploads, but the video still buffers and the calls drop and breakup. My assumption is that my routers suck and they can’t support the connection.
So my question to the board is, what do I need to look for in a router that will allow for better quality calls and streams? Do all of the routers need this? Or just the main?
Thanks in advance!
