Just finished The Haunting of Hill House. Only 1 season released, 10 episodes. Excellent especially if you like horror. One episode blew my mind.
Just started Bodyguard, a British production on Netflix. Watched the first episode last night. It was somewhat entertaining

Meat Eater is great. Reminds me of No Reservations/Parts Unknown but about hunting expeditions.

Bodyguard broke all kinds of viewship records for BBC before it went to Netflix. I’m three eps in and agree it’s really good.

F is for Family is also pretty funny. Adult animation, unmistakeably voiced by Bill Burr

Netflix: been loving the Aussie stuff. Just finished all 5 seasons of Rake. Funny as help.
Pine Gap has nice twist on us - aussie - china relationship. 1 season so far.

Prime: can't believe I never watched Ray Donovan. Binged my way to current.

Waiting for Ozark season 3.
Bodyguard was excellent.

I read Bloodine was supposed to go for a few more seasons/years but was too expensive with all of the location shooting.

And another plug for Foyle’s War.

Also Ballykissangel and Homefires (was only one season:()

We don't have kids but my wife watches Fuller House. As for me, I'm glad we have two TV's in the house.
Speaking of the younger skewing stuff...
End of the F**king World
Alexa and Katie is good
There’s an animation series called Hilda that is really good too

been watching Pine Gap.. like it much.. I think they did a nice balance there politically.. they handle the idea of there being no black and white, but many shades of gray thing, well.

Iintelligent and sophisticated. Love the external perspective. That side of the planet looks so cool,

I did not much like the Serbian Aussie... tho sdhe has a rockin bod. Her constant nagging about America-this and America-that... and comparing the US expansion to Hawaii as the same as modern day China taking the Spratleys and all those other island groups and claiming territorial waters... NOT the same damn thing at all... but a very realistic and scary scenario imho.

Just looking through here there are a lot of shows on in the US that I can't get on my Netflix here.
It seems my Netflix is over run with non American shows. A lot from the UK but also shows and movies with subtitles from France, Poland, Russia, Denmark and the Netherlands.
A show I really liked and not sure if it's still on was Luther.
Just watched the first 2 episodes of Black Mirror. Boy it's different.

Just checked. Not on my Netflix.
Looks like you could use a VPN.. make believe you are someplace else.. do you pay per month what an American pays? Like $13?

I have also seen some sites that, erroneously in my case, tell me I am using a VPN and then fails to connect. In my case trying again usually fixes that.. but makes me wonder if VPNs will get outmoded soon.

Also.. Black Mirror, iirc, is like short stories.. unrelated.. so you can watch in any order.. there are sites that rank the episodes... not that the ranks always agree.. but maybe hop around to the best couple before committing to watching them all.

Has anyone checked out The Kominsky Method and what do you think? It took home a few Golden Globes, watched the first ep and kinda meh. Felt like a less funny Curb to me.

+1

Much, much better than I thought it was going to be.
Agreed re Jack Ryan. Haven’t seen the whole thing but it’s a straightforward, easy watch. That 20 minute fire fight in the first ep is as good as anything from a movie.

Just watched the first season of Black Mirror. Really liked it. Stories are different. Not the same formula you see on most shows.

While not Netflix.. if you know somoen who gets EPIX at home and would lend you their cable TV account and pwd.. like a relative.. you can use the EPIX app and stream a couple good shows..

Get Shorty
Berlin Station
"Deep State" looks interesting as well but I have not binged that enough to know for sure.

On Amazon Prime I have liked (most mentioned previously)

Patriot (this is quirky and funny and dark.. don't want to give away too much.. but the main character does some messed up things.. for his country.. then blows off steam, occasionally, singing folk tunes about what he has done.. the lyrics are so hilarious)
Tin Star (dark and darker.. beautiful Canadian rockies scenery)
Jack Ryan
Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Homecoming
Man in High Castle
Sneaky Pete
Goliath (for the first season.. 2nd was a bit off)

just noticed prime has "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" in the free movies.. if you are a youngster who has never seen it.. it is a must

Just finished season 1 of Tin Star. Wow, great show. Surprised I had never heard of it before. Looking forward to season 2

Go Roku. I get all of the B1G channels and almost every thing I used to with Comcast. Much cheaper. I do Wifi from Metronet

if you liked those, watch Longshot...its a about a guy charged with murder, his defense was that it was mistaken identity, he was at a baseball game. It's just an hour

Ill add a few:

The Killing
Shameless
Mindhunter
Broadchurch
Rectify

If you like the killing you'll really like "7 Seconds".

Lots of good ones mentioned in this thread. One I am enjoying now that I didn’t see listed is Babylon Berlin. It a German series with English subtitles and i mention that because I know some don’t like subtitles. Great crime drama set in 1920s in Germany. Very interesting and well done.
