Read all the post game threads every week and many fans and myself point out the ridiculous foul discrepancies. We get shouted down.

Tonight we finally got treated fairly. We shot 15 of 20 for 75 % from the line and won.

OSU shot 7 of 11 for 66 % and lost.

Don’t let anyone tell you fouls don’t matter.

Great great win for RU!

I think there were two major factors-

1) free throws
15-20 is much better than what we have been especially in these kinds of games. We miss one or two it’s a different ball game.

2) baker
He had a huge first half but when things didn’t go his way in the second he didnt force anything. Compared to the Fordham game when things got rough he took crazy shots. He let the game come to him and had other players, like Mathis who stepped up big time, to take the load off of him

Carter and Mathis can both score inside AND they get to the line. 5-6 from the stripe for Carter was huge.

Pike finally really worked the refs. No nice guy tonight. Want to see him continue and maybe there will be some parity in foul shots going forward. The team did a great job with their shooting!

Mathis was the difference maker in this game making two baskets in the last minute on dribble drives .Baker made only one basket in the second half but it was the last basket of the game with 10 seconds remaining. This was a great team win especially after Eugene getting injured in the first half .The crowd really was loud which kept the team morale up after Ohio State scoring spurts.

I like Carter's ability to finish down low. Throw in Johnson and Rutgers is starting to have a presence in the paint. For so long Rutgers has been a perimeter team and it's prevented them from getting to the line more often which can be the difference in winning and losing.

Pikiell struck gold with this year's recruiting class. What's going to happen when 5 star players start to commit? He can sell that.
What's going on with Issa Thiam? He seems to have lost his game. He roams around the 3 point arc but isn't shooting. He could drop those shots last year. I hope Omoruyi isn't hurt seriously.

Actually I think the reason RU won was because of Todd Frazier and his son sitting there in the front row.
You're such a homer. lol I would like to see Phil Sellers (or any of those guys) sitting courtside some day.

When was the last RU team that could shoot free throws?

we got to the line more and didnt settle...we got OSU into foul trouble. We played much better defense without fouling. I think we got a favorable whistle tonight in general in that the game was called in a way that favored us....and we made our foul shots for the most part.
