...we’re solid at QB. No worries here. Thank goodness Hobbs sent that letter out telling us it’s going to be ok and we have that small handful of posters who tell everyone how stupid they are for expressing doubt or else I may have been concerned about the staff’s ability to get it done here.

It's too bad we never got a chance to see what Chatman could do considering his track record in high school. But it sounded like McNulty was not sold on him and Snyder would leap frog him next season so really can't blame him.

Honestly I am a little surprised there has not been more of this. I thought we might not hear about such transfers until the semester finished up. Better hope either Wise or Snyder is ready to play.

...so...hoping the true frosh QB strikes gold immediately or else...haven’t we seen this movie before?:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

...and I’m not surprised at all. If you were a QB that committed to a school across the country and saw what you saw here this past fall, would you want to stay here to play the position?

Ugh. I don’t get it. Like others I liked this kid. What was it? Do they suck at evaluation before they get to campus? At evaluation once they get to campus? Or something else?

Either way, wish him heaps of fortune in his future!

I honestly think he saw the absolute circus we had on offense, with a ‘coach’s pet’ situation at QB so frigging obvious it might as well have been taken straight out of a children’s sports movie, and though ‘this isn’t what I signed up for.’

Unbelievable... At this point, I don't even want to think about what would happen if Lewis leaves.

If history holds up, you will get to see him light it up....

Just not at Rutgers. See savage, and flacco

Christ this dumpster fire keeps getting worse. As I've said many times, I thought he had the best tape of any of our QBs of the past few years. Could be I suck at evaluating tapes or maybe this is similar to the Flacco situation, where our staff clearly couldn't properly evaluate a dual threat QB, who can simply make plays.

Probably not a coincidence that Chatman tweeted about Flacco's accomplishments at Towson numerous times, including the one below. I'd love to know whether Chatman was ever given a decent chance and given how bad AS was, I still can't figure out why he wouldn't have been given a shot given the new redshirt rules. Also, still think many on the team had to be pissed at the staff for sticking with AS despite every shred of evidence screaming that he just wasn't a 1A QB.

Well, history suggests that McNulty prefers his QBs to be taller and more on the, uh, Caucasian end of the spectrum. Remember, Chatman and Wise aren’t McNulty recruits. Wise committed way back in September, 2017.

Sorry, if you can run away from pressure and gain yards on the ground, you don’t fit the Rutgers offense. We need people who will stand still, take lots of sacks like a man and never “give up” by throwing it away, at least toss it in the air and see who gets it first

Who's the best receiver at Ohio State? Who was throwing to him for a few years down in Florida

I wouldn’t include Knight Shift in that group. He’s not a fan of repetitive posting, but a lot of his ‘Ash support’ is tongue in cheek and he’s made it known he has his doubts/concerns-he just keeps them lower key.

...some other people though...they can have a nice tall glass of shut up as far as I’m concerned.
