Ash did a pretty good job with the D as does Pike but we will get stuck in almostgoodville until we beef up the O.

Rutgers isn’t bad offensively. They just can’t pull it together for a long stretch of time, they’re very streaky. That is how young teams tend to be, and as stated above this was against Michigan St and Wisconsin. They’ll be fine and find their rhythm by the end of the season.

We played the #12 in the country on the road where they never lose. Poor second half offensively but overall the stats show we shot 46% from field, 83% from line, only had 8 turnovers and 10 assists. That's not terrible. Wisconsin shot 53% from floor. That didn't help.

The schedule isn’t kind. There are fewer gimmies. Yes, we lost to a ranked team and put up a fight. It wasn’t a particularly embarrassing loss. But despite the collective orgasm every time Pikiell’s name is uttered, the team lost. And it loses anytime it comes up against a team with a pulse (not convinced Miami is much more than a decent team). We’re what? 5-3? I don’t see us getting more than 12 wins. We’ll have a third season at the bottom of the league.

Nobody's calling for Pikiell's head. There's a lot of improvement and there's a lot to like. But at some point, we actually have to start winning.

Yep. This team is just like football. Both wear scarlet. Both have Rutgers student-athletes. Both play home games in Piscataway. That's about it.

That might not really occur until next year but I'd bet large sums of money we'll win more than 12 games this year.

Let’s look for the positives. As been said, we just gave two of the top teams competitive games. A few short years ago these games would have been unwatchable. Stop complaining and enjoy the ride up or get off the bus.

Why do people have to continually compare the 2 programs?

If you really have to compare to something pick the Mets, Jets, Devils or Giants..........or your kid's middle school basketball team
