Rutgers vs Wisconsin / Game Thread

I love Pike, but he got outcoached down the stretch tonight. We needed to start fouling Happ earlier, every time he got the ball, before the shot for all 3 one-and-ones.
Rutgers had this game and put up a horrendous effort in the second half. No moral victories, this should have been a win. Not impressed at all with Wisconsin and the refs in their back pocket.
Doorson on hedges, switches and screen and pops isn't able to close on shooters to help guards....these are correctable to a point but comes down to athleticism and skill level defensively with bigs.
Keeping my head up. Played well and belonged on the court with the number 5 and now the number 12 teams in the country. Pike has the program going in the right direction. Need to learn how to win
Yeah I don't agree with that. You rack up the team fouls and they have some good shooters.
Eugene is not good. Watching the important games this year (SJU, Miami, MSU, Wisky) he’s a net negative out there. Dumb fouls, hero one on one ball, out of control shots, defense based on trying to draw a foul but not actual defense. I don’t know maybe I’m missing something?
Can Issa start taking more shots and drives and not just run around the perimeter all game
In many ways this game was a carbon copy of Michigan State where Rutgers executed on offense in the first half but the team goes cold in the second half.When Baker isn't scoring Rutgers is in big trouble because there are too many complementary players on the court and not enough go to scorers to match baskets with Wisconsin.This was a winnable game but the difficulty in even scoring 60 points makes winning league games a real challenge.
I know everyone is disappointed on what could have been but just realize who we have played the last two games...two teams who will finish top 4 in this league are legit sweet 16 or more teams
yeah that was bad considering that baseball pass..we should have had that and a chance to cut it to one possession

True but in the end it's just another loss and we're 0-2 in league. No guarantees we'll play well against teams less talented. Had a chance. Did nothing on offense in the second half. Too many spectators on offense.
we are not a ncaa team or even a top 8 team in league...we knew that. I am extremely encourage, tonight just pointed out that we are not there yet. no surprise at all
You misread my post - in the end we needed to be fouling Happ when he received the ball to put him on the line for 1-1's. Has nothing to do with racking up fouls against other shooters - he's not a good shooter.
Gets my vote for most idiotic stupid post of the year.
Let's remember this whole team (sans. Doorson) returns plus Mulcahy and Young and possibly one more guy next year. We are looking up. Proud to be a Scarlet Knight. Go RU.
maybe..maybe not..maybe the young talent isnt quite there enough to play a #12 team....when Mathis and Harper and Johnson are juniors this game will be different
We need a scorer more than we need a shooter. Somebody who'll will himself to some buckets in crunch time.
