RU will have to beat better teams like Miami night in and night out to make the dance. Would be highly unlikely....for starters. RU probably will have to finish 9-1 regular season and then 10-10 Big 10 to even be in consideration and will have to have some really good wins better than Miami and SHU. This thread is way too premature but I believe last year there was one too

That’s exactly what I said above ....

Very much looking forward to the Mich St game; hope it is not a let-down moment, but as long as the kids keep improving week-over-week, that is all we can ask this season, I submit.

Coach pike will leave this job much better and more attractive than he found it; when was the last time we could say that!?!!?!!!!!!!

2016 3-10 (@Depaul, @Stony Brook, @PSU)
2017 0-9 road record
2018 1-0 (@Miami) 12 more road games

Miami(5-2) was our best road win in several years, name me 1 in EJ, Rice or Hill, even Gary Waters and Kevin Bannon were horrible road coaches which prevented them from getting to the tournament. Yes, we don't know how Miami will finish the year, but I know we have road games against a surprising 5-1 Fordham team and 4-2 Seton Hall team, as well as 10 in the B1G, and B1G has many quality wins as a conference. This team closed on the road against a quality team from the ACC for 40 minutes. The games are there to be won, I don't like how people are writing this year off or how significant this win was. This team is special THIS year and will be better next year. Enjoy the ride, instead of "oh they're too young" or "they won't be ready till... ". Guess what, this team believes this year they will dance and are motivated and believe they will do it this year. We will see tonight and the rest of the year.

The one shining moment of FHJ's error on the banks was when RU miraculously beat #18 Villanova at the RAC, 80-68, on 1/23/08 and followed it up with a 77-64 victory at #13 Pitt on 1/26/08.

Prior to the win over Nova, RU lost six straight games. Following the win over Pitt, RU had a 9-game losing streak.

I'm still mystified by those two wins.

Nothing will ever top Rutgers beating Wisconsin in the year they went to the final 4 as far as random wins go. Sure Kaminsky was out and they had another guy twist an ankle but we had already lost to St. Peter's and St. Francis PA that year, and we lost the final 14 games after the Wisconsin win.
