Figured we could talk about recruiting in this thread .
I may be wrong but do we have one more spot to fill for next year ? If so , I’m assuming it will go to a big or versatile wing . For 2020, I know we are in with a bunch of guys but who do we have a great chance with ? I’m hoping Cliff from IC . We also need someone versitile to replace Eugene which will be a huge loss .

Think we’re still targeting 6-7 combo forward Mickey Pearson for the 2019 spot. Pretty clear Pike is building the team to have a lot of interchangeable parts - so lots of guys in the 6-5 to 6-8 range who can defend multiple positions and can shoot.

That’s right. Forgot about Pearson . Would be a good fit for what we’re trying to do . Versatile big who isn’t a one dimensional post player .

Playing time will always be a primary issue in deciding to transfer. There will be many players capable of playing either guard position and small forward next season.

For next year? At least so far, no one obvious jumps out.

For the following year, I'm pretty sure the crunch for minutes at guard will shake someone loose.

I’m thinking next year we’ll have to press and push tempo even more to take advantage of our guard depth and the number of guys who can really play .

Also , I’m thinking by adding all of these versatile interchangeable parts if Pike wants to be able to switch 1-4 defensively . Always makes for s big advantage of you can do it effectively

Higgins ,
Is that a guess or you have some info ?
Total guess. Just thinking about the amount of guards. It’s just a personal opinion. The program is bringing in high hopes with Paul Mulcahy. Then Jacob young. In the nba you can run first team and second team. I don’t see the ncaa as having that same flexibility. It’s only forty minutes and you have to play the best.

I don’t know how good of a shot we have, but I think Pike is targeting Cliff Omoruyi for a 2020 big.

And 6-8 combo forward Matt Zona.
I read some stuff this weekend. I think ru will have a good shot at Omoruyi. I would not be surprised if they took targeted every kid with the last name Omoruyi in the future.

2020 is really important. Really excited about the potential for that class.
