I've seen zero minutes of Duke this year.
Just 2 highlights on Sportscenter.

All I know:
6'7" (maybe shorter since teams usually inflate height?)
285lbs

Not happening.
Don't care how "athletic" everyone says he is.

Okay - now fill me in on how he actually is going to be that good and I have to start watching Duke.
Rich man's Barkley?
Can he shoot at all?

It doesn’t not matter how “athletic” everyone says he is, the fact is he is a absolute freak.

He's 285 lbs and has a 45" vertical. I can't think of another player with more than 42.

If the kid loses 20lbs. he's jumping off the planet....and defying gravity.

I mean its a 2 minute post on a Rutgers message board about a random thought.
Not like I'm going to a Duke board trying to start a fight.
Or honstely care what anyone on any Rutgers board thinks about any thought I have.

The entire function of message boards is to waste time.

Well, not the entire function, but that can sometimes be a by-product of posting on a message board.

This is even worse than your original post. Nobody with an IQ over 45 would call Lebron overrated.

They might debate if he’s better than Jordan, but he’s a top 5 player of all time. I don’t know why I’m responding to this.

Haha. Its not my argument.

Alot of Kobe/Lakers fans think Kobe vs. LBJ is an argument.

Just google it and you'll see alot of those sub 45 IQ people.

Wow did you see how amazing Zion was last night.

He hit a whooping 3 three pointers!
Up to 29% 3pt shooting.

Didn't realize he had only made 4 three pointers in the first 13 games on 7 attempts.

I'm dying on this hill.
I'm sure he will be good in the NBA but he will need to actually shoot the ball at some point.

This kid is not the "prototypical" anything, so he doesn't fit in a "box". He is anything but a bust. Just watch him play.

He's a 71% FT shooter so far this year so not terrible. He reminds me of Dominique Wilkins in terms of athleticism and leaping ability, but about 40 lbs bigger. He also has long arms which means he can go over or through anybody in his way in the paint. He's a dominant rebounder and shot blocker as well as a pretty good passer.

He's basically one of those kids that looks like he is playing a different sport than everybody else on the court. If he ever became a great 3 point shooter, well look out.

Now will he be an NBA MVP? Maybe, maybe not. But I'd be surprised as hell if he isn't making regular appearances in the All Star game (and not just the dunk contest). While the league is all about spacing and shooting right now, Giannis is showing that you can still be a serious MVP candidate without a great jumper if you can be elite scoring in the paint.
