let that sink in. .three years running of some of the worst passing offense numbers in the nation. Horrific and inexcusable. The line clearly isnt giving Art enough protection but its also true that Art simply isnt a functional quarterback at this point. Speaks volumes

if not for Pacheco.....

its clear Chris Ash must go, today wasnt even that bad when you consider how bad earlier games were. Thats the whole point, there is improvement the last few weeks but that improvement is meaningless when the program is actually at a lower point right now than when they ended year 2 at.

there are so many parts of the team that is void of power five talent ..its a joke.the offensive line, the defensive line, the wide recievers.sitowski gets hit or hurried every pass play.Ash and staff are horrible recruiters and are destroying the program
For that alone they have to be fired in two weeks.

Michigan State had 94 yards versus this team. Illinois is different story.

#FakeNews.

@rutgersal said that our passing attack would dominate the game.

You can't possibly be suggesting that he was wrong. That would simply be ridiculous.

I don't buy the improvement.. If this game had less long-term interest for Michigan (not getting their QB hurt) we lose by a lot more. Patterson had 28 carries for 156 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns the last 3 games against Wisconsin, MSU and Penn State. Today? 0 carries.

We sold out to stop the run (and actually did it fairly well) but Michigan didn't even care to use Patterson on the option like they have been doing pretty successfully (especially on 3rd and shorts) to make us pay. It's also why they had a pretty easy time passing when they did drop Patterson back. We ran into a conservative offense that was looking to get their QB to week 13 healthy and still lost by 35 at home and outside of literally 1 play for us, the stats were never even competitive.

I was actually impressed with our offense because even without that 80 yard run we would have had over 150 yards of offense (39 of it vs backups) and 113 yards rushing and 11 first downs. All much more than I'd envision. But you also can't tell me Michigan's D played this game with the same intensity it had the last 3 so I don't care who we performed better than in comparison. We still went 9-20 through the air with 59 yards.

Let's actually be competitive (not lose by 35) the next 2 weeks with teams that don't have anything to lose and that won't eliminate nearly half their offensive game-plan in anticipation of rolling us without max effort.

we have no receivers with hands, we have a bad OL, a qb that has shown very little if we are honest and yet Hobbs wants Ash back because we arent losing by 50 against the tops in the league

The notion that Rutgers can be successful in the B1G without a passing attack is truly wishful thinking. The beat downs will continue unabated, recruiting isn't improving and attendance is declining.Status quo futility for another year is unacceptable but likely to happen with Ash still the head coach.

How is not having a win against a div 1 program showing improvement? One win..season
A joke.
Does Barchi and Hobbs even care?
I dont think so..
Why should the fanbase even show up untill THEY show THEY CARE?

But....
But....
But....we beat Purdue 14-12 last year with 87 yards passing!!!
That means clearly we can beat the rest of the Big Ten with such an "effective" gameplan......

1st year OC + true fros QB + poor OL coaching = our passing game.

Passing game this year is overall worse than both 2016 and 2017 passing.
And we still have 2 more likely blowouts on the way.

1st year OC is a cop-out.
Nobody was excusing DM or Kill.
Everyone begged for DM to leave actually.

McNulty is supposed to be "the best coach on staff".

Any chance someone hires him away to coach WRs?

McNulty is 100% better than DM already. Kill was not bad and he left for health reasons. BTW, my 1st year OC comment was not to excuse McNulty, it was about the players getting adjusted.

I've never seen a team have such trouble completing a screen pass. We weren't even 50% on them. That being said rushing for almost 200 yards on Michigan is pretty impressive. I also think we played pretty well on D all things considered.
