118 is a weird footprint to begin with and add in the handicap area above it. If the footprint could spread the handicap all over the RAC like most arenas/stadiums it would open up that entire area for realignment. Don't quote me on this, but idk if the RAC has the handicap necessities (elevator access, ramps, etc) to accommodate current codes without major designing/construction involved.

It would be different if 118 was full but it's been far from that for a long time, even going back to when I was sitting there.

Nothing looks worse on TV than a hundred empty seats right behind the basket.

Lol blame 118. No different then the empty sections in the rest of the RAC and you do realize that when they put up the new baskets most of the middle seats became upstructed views? Nova just re-did their arena nicely. It can be done. So did Northwestern. They didn’t rip up their baseline and put it luxury boxes. We already had press boxes at midcourt just waiting to be converted. SMH. No vision.

Never understood why anybody would want to sit there as an adult even before the obstructed views.

I'm fully aware. As I said I sat there from '89-'12. Row G, Seat 5 or 6. I'm not blaming anyone. Simply stating it wasn't a good visual for the program having so many empty seats behind the basket.
