You're sitting in your seats next September for the home opener and leading his charges out of the tunnel is one, Greg Schiano as Sinatra's "Let Me Try Again " blares from the video board as highlights from his previous tenure are shown

Heaven.

We could only dream!!!

Then he leads us to another 1 win season because he hasn’t coached in half a decade and the game is very different now. The spread that he can’t defend is now much more commonplace in college

Actually if you remember, Greg’s defenses did very well against the spread and option teams.

Say it ain’t so. Enough of this. Find someone else to pine for he ain’t coming here. Start supporting the current coach as he will be pacing next year on the sideline again.

Yeah, right, the first time the offense looks over to the sideline for the play
the fans will be calling for Schiano to be fired.

Like against Cincinnati when we opened the south end of the stadium or against Houston? Spread...no, option...yes.

Schiano was a fine coach, and led us to respectability. But am I the only person who remembers that this board blasted him for "not being a good game-day coach?" Am I the only person who remembers how he was denounced as a control freak who obsessed over things like the temperature of a meeting room? He ain't God, you know.

Imagine the free pizza
It's easy if you try.....
Greg Schiano feeding us
While we all get high
imagine all the wins we never get...boo hoo booooo hoo hoooooo
ah ahhhh ah ahh

Imagine Anderson failed us,
Graber and Shea did too.....
But when Shiano comes to us,
He'll say "It's a process" boo hoo
Imagine being Champions... there is no time line boo hoo hooooo...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And Rutgers will be as one

He’s a complete joke. 10,000 season ticket sales gone next year. Completely empty stadium.

Option, I guess. Any team with a legit dual threat qb shredded him. Aka West Virginia
I don't think it was the "dual threat" as much as this:
  • Schiano's RU defenses usually struggled against QBs that were accurate. That included even non-running QBs like Pike from Cinn and that Tulane QB we played one year.
  • If a QB relied on his athleticism to keep plays alive so receivers would get open, but weren't a guy who could stand in the pocket and pick apart a defense, Schiano's defense usually crushed them.
I think of the USF QBs that he would destroy (even as they were having success against the rest of CFB) because they were scramblers. The WVU QBs played great against RU because they were actually good throwing QBs, not so much that they were a dual threat.

At least 50 percent of this board dreams of walking into their room at night with Greg Schiano laying in their bed

As a Skins' fan, I thought Gibbs being back as HC was like the Second Coming, he was mediocre the 2nd time around, at best.
It's made me gun-shy to want to see Schiano come back.
