I have the same bet as you. I can still recognize that he has improved way beyond anyone's expectations. You just hate, mock him any chance you get. Most of your comments are way off base. And yes you hate him.
You are way too early if you are here to get paid. You really should understand the bet before you take them. How’s your boy DJ doing?
Just another guy who's already got his world ranking up to 26 in the world. And as those DNPs and cut missed and bad scores fall off the back end and he continues to add top 20 finishes, he'll continue to move up. He'll be top 10 next year. If that's just another guy to you, then we just have different definitions and that's fine.
He is where I said he was...a Top 30 golfer, which means he's one of that group that expects to win each week. Tigers had a great run recently and deserves the accolades. Projecting him as Top 10 for next season is way too premature. He's not dominant anymore, didn't win this year and is playing with guys half his age that are on the upswing and haven't had multiple surgeries. If he stays in that Top 30 mix and stays healthy next year, that will be a more than fair expectation.
I guess we do. The people claiming Tiger’s back weren’t talking about top 30 rankings. They were talking about winning tournaments.
It’s playing out close to exactly how it wasn’t predicted. Just too many younger guys that have better, more consistent games.

Finau gets in despite Xander coming on strong. Figured he would get the nod as posted earlier, but not exactly a tough prediction. Tony only has one PGA win but playing very well.

I posted a week or two ago that Keegan Bradley was a darkhorse according to someone on the Golf Channel. I couldn't understand why. I guess that's why I'm watching on TV instead of in front of the camera lol.
What made me wonder if these guys (players) sometime have a clue. Yesterday Bradley was saying he was on the outside of making the team BUT if he wins this coming weekend, who knows? Dude, next week is too late.

Both are worthy but Finau was in the driver seat. Xander had to win convincingly to over take Finau.
The course favors the Euro's in that the French Open is played there. It's not like any Tour course so there's no feel for what it'll be like.
The back end of the US Team (Tiger, Phil, DeChambeau, and Finau) has been playing better than the Euro's (Garcia, Stenson, Poulter, and Casey) this past year. If, and it's a big if, Phil and Tiger can find the narrow fairways, the Captains picks could be what sends the Cup the US's way.
Tiger tied for 1st at the end of Day 1 at The Tour Championship final at East Lake. He hit a lot of Fairways and Greens today.

Tiger really looks like he might win this one. Tied for the lead through 14 with Justin Rose at -7 after making a couple of birdies on the back nine. He scrambled well early in the round and is now hitting some nice shots and great putts - dare I say it, like the old Tiger. We'll see if he hits a cold streak, like he's done every time he was in the lead over the past few months, but if he doesn't, I think he'll win this one. Fowler, Rory, Horschel and Cantlay are all at -4. Should be a fun weekend.
Tiger then made a 25 footer on 15, a very tough 215-yard par 3, for birdie to take the lead at -8, but made a bonehead shot from the rough on 16, trying to muscle the ball to the green, instead plugging one in the bunker and having to play out sideways - led to a double bogey to drop him to -6. And he then finished up with a birdie at the par 5 18th to get to -7 tied with Rose for the lead, 2 up on Rory and 3 up on Thomas, Horschel, Rahm and Cantlay. Fowler shot 4 over on the back to drop from -7 to -3.

Tiger must now be the favorite to win this. He's at -13 after a 30 on the front 9 and has a 4 stroke lead over Rose and a 6 stroke lead over Rory, after 12 holes. The only plus side to our debacle today was we left at halftime, so I got to see more of the golf. He just looks more confident and smooth, especially his putting. As this point, he'd have to fall apart somewhat to not win.
We were talking about Tiger walking from the Lot to stadium yesterday. Watching his progress over the past 6 months, he's done it in steps. Driving, check. Iron play, check. Around the Green, check. The only thing that was missing was his putting. It appears at least this week he's got that working now.
Now we'll see how his "older" nerves handle a fairly large lead. If Rory or Rose put the pressure on him how he reacts will tell a lot. I wouldn't bet against him.

I am not positive Tiger will win today. It doesn’t matter he keeps taking steps. Nerves may get the better of him today. He hasn’t been in this position in years. But he will eventually get there even if it is not today. He will learn from it and take it into next year. What I know is he stared down a bunch of the “young guns” the last three days and they wilted against him. Like in his prime different guys step up each week to challenge him, but he is always there. If he stays healthy he will be number one in the world next season.
One never knows, but I could see Tiger shooting 69 and one of those guys shooting 65 to win. I doubt Tiger shoots 74 to lose it to one of those guys shooting 70 or better.
At the turn, Tiger is at -13, Rose is at -8 and Rory has choked his way to a 4-over round, so far, at -5. Horschel is at -7 and DJ is at -6. It would now take an epic collapse for Tiger to lose this one. He's playing very steady golf with continued strong putting.
Don't look like there enough contenders to get past Rose. Could happen, but he has to give away a lot of holes.
Nice win for Woods. Not a major, which we are going on 11 years without one, but this is legit. Let’s hope he can take to France next week, and guys like Michaelson and DeChambeau pick it up.
