So far i've seen Art really lock on to his primary targets. i hope that gets worked on.
When you're actually not on the field, it does appear as if Art is locking on to one receiver, but if you can see it from the end zone, he's not. Art is cutting the field in half to help him make quicker reads by only watching two receivers instead of the whole field. That's my concern. I said the same about savage freshman year .locked in on 1st receiver
Apparently, no BBQ's so no donations.Texas as awful...what happened to them over the years?
Tennessee State struggling on third down
Rutgers has taken its foot off the throat of TSU...why? I can say the play calling has been on par with the first half.We should be burying this team. Very frustrating
Not a frosh mistake, just a horrible decision to throw it there.Wow, that's a freshman mistake - horrible decision and worse throw.
I don't know why Rutgers would roll out Art on a pass play. It's not his strength, and you limit his ability to be on target when he throws. He's a pro-style QB for a reason.
Savage did that in his second year and it was painful to watch. Art has to trust his pre-snap reads and trust the timing. He's double clutching the ball. Understandable since he's young, and he'll have film to study this week that he'll benefit from here forward. When you're actually not on the field, it does appear as if Art is locking on to one receiver, but if you can see it from the end zone, he's not. I'm telling you from a DB POV if you're not great at doing that, you're playing right into the defense hand. You're helping the defense. TSU can't handle Art in the pocket, so why good away from his strength?I disagree. He isn't Doug Flutie, but he isn't Tom Brady either. He is certainly athletic enough to throw on the run. He just made a poor decision, but he looked very fluid doing it.
We are going to have to move the pocket and throw in those situations against teams like OSU with beefy DL's.

Agreed - he made a couple of good throws on the rollout in the spring game.I disagree. He isn't Doug Flutie, but he isn't Tom Brady either. He is certainly athletic enough to throw on the run. He just made a poor decision, but he looked very fluid doing it.
