Because there are some on here who root for conference like those SEC numnuts.
I gotta say I'm one of those numbnuts lol. I personally don't think any one game here or there matters all that much in the scheme of things. Say we upset some big out of conference team, do I think that one game alone would give us some big bump in recruiting? I don't. It's facilities, consistent performance over time, playing time etc..all as one big package that matter IMO as opposed to a win over a Texas of whatever.

On top of which, if you've seen my posts on recruiting I think recruiting is generally a tiered pyramid with tiers getting larger as you go down and that most schools will generally recruit in the tier related to the status of their school barring long term good/poor performance or some stellar/poor recruiter as HC.

I'm hoping we saved our REAL good plays for OSU. Tough spot for next week, but we have to be more competitive than in the past. Might be a learning experience again, but we should have learned something by now.

If the O-line doesn't run block and pass protect a bit better.... ain't gonna matter how many other "Real good" plays we have........

What the fuc...

Penalties and turnovers eventually doomed Texas State in the Bobcats’ season-opening 35-7 loss to Big Ten cupcake Rutgers Saturday in New Jersey.

If we are a cupcake, then what the heck is Texas State? We beat them 35-7 and we could easily have score twice as much.
Don't think it was the penalties and turnovers, but this (and some of our fans complained about our defense):
Jones completed 6 of 19 pass attempts for 79 yards while rushing for a team-high 33 yards on 14 attempts.

To be fair, writers from the Austin Statesman are used to the performance of local powerhouse teams like the University of Texas: teams that don’t lose to opponents they’re favored to win by two TDs. What an ahole.
