As offensive coordinator. Best of luck to Gary!!!!

Nova, who was a volunteer assistant for Elmwood Park last year, is a busy guy these days. He has also started a football-focused podcast, "The Sideline Hustle," with former Rutgers graduate assistant Drew Tomlinson, who recently became an assistant for Mike Teel at Bosco. They discuss their experiences behind the scenes in college football and also offer coaching tips. Former Rutgers offensive coordinator Ralph Friedgen is a frequent guest.

Coaching at Paramus Catholic, one of Don Bosco's main rivals nowadays, has not been strange, Nova said.

Wasn't it Friedgen who was responsible for Nova's outstanding senior year campaign (less the PSU game of course)?

Yes, or at least he ran a pretty good offense.
2014:
2956 passing yards (Nova and a little Laviano) 22 TDs/13 INTs; 2114 Rushing yards, 21 TDs- 5070 Total Yards and 43 TDs

2015: Things trended down, but not too badly:
2485 passing yards (mostly Laviano) 19 TDs/12 INTs; 2039 yards rushing, 17 TDs; 4524 Total Yards, 36 TDs

2016: Yikes
1659 passing yards, 11 TD/7 INTs; 1739 rushing yards 8 TDs; 3398 Total Yards and 17 TDS.
That's a 25% decrease in offensive yards and a 58% decrease in TDS over 2015

2017: Ouch
1387 passing yards, 7 TDs/11 INTs; 1765 Rushing yards and 19 TDS; 3152 total yards and 26 TDs

Just watched the 2014 game against Nebraska last night. Gary looked pretty good in the first half before getting hurt. He threw the ball a lot. I would like to think that the last couple of years were a anomaly and this year's QB will lead with his arm.

Yeah, but he’s coaching at Michigan Prep.

At this point if any of the players were coached by Partridge they were freshmen. I know UM has appeal without him, but my guess is some of the edge has diminshed.

I always thought Gary was an athletic and talented QB, but to me he seemed to struggle with his decision making ability in games and that is all between the ears. So I am a little surprised to see that he has become the OC for Paramus Catholic where it is mostly all in game decision making.

Life is a journey of continuous learning and improving. Perhaps Gary has come a long way in the past few years in developing his decision making and is now in position to apply that professionally in a coaching capacity.

My favorite is the first play of the game against Louisville in the Big East championship in 2012 for a TD. With the fake FG we woulda been up 3 scores lates in the third on the way to the Sugar Bowl. Still an amazing night up until the end

His game against Michigan was an all time classic. That was the very definition of "beast mode."
