Another good season in the books, 36 and counting I think? Still a fan of the show and glad to see Wendell won. The other finalist who was from Long Island or Staten Island was so arrogant, it looked like Jeff wanted to punch him a couple times. Another win for Philly this year too as much as I hate to admit it.

If I had to pick any TV career for myself it would for sure be Jeff Probst's. Lots of money, beautiful destinations and it appears to be a pretty easy gig. He literally says the same things every show.

I thought both deserved to win. Once it was a tie it was clear Wendell would win. Dom played a great game as well.

The show keeps on ticking. Their “casting” is so predictable as every season you can tell who fits what mold. But it works.

I am curious what is real and what is staged. I’ve stayed away from really looking for that info for fear it is all staged.

I believe Survivor to be the most "real" of all the "reality" shows out there. That being said, I'm sure the producers still influence things. For example, on Ghost Island, whoever was sent had to break an urn which either gave them the opportunity to gain an advantage or not, yet it wasn't up to the player as to which urn they broke. They just broke the next one in line. Knowing which player was going, they could switch the contents of the urn to help keep a player in the game or make it more difficult.

By the way, how good did Angela look when she was voted out and went to the jury? Not a good player, but looking good! Also though Chelsea looked awesome when she went to the jury.

My wife and i said the same thing about Angela, she cleans up well! That jury house must be quite a party.

It’s definitely real.. My cousin was on Gen X vs Millenials.. First high school student ever on the show.. He did say that producers do favor certain contestants in terms of confessionals but nothing else..We went out to LA for the finale show.. Awesome experience

A friend of mine has applied a couple of times to be on the show. When I found this out, I printed up an acceptance letter in my name and just "left it out" where she would find it. She was furious that I made it and she didn't. She was even more pissed off at me when I fessed up that it was a joke.
Though cute for a 40ish mom, she would be a terrible player. I think I would be a pretty good player, nice enough to be liked, sneaky enough to be a devious, and still athletic enough to compete, but I just couldn't leave my wife and kids for that long.

Watched the first one, loved it.
Watched the second one, meh, got redundant
Started watching the third one, boring, gave up on it.....same thing.

Amazing Race was a better show, but that got boring as well, after 5 or 6 seasons.

Absolutely understand that feeling. We skipped a whole bunch of seasons, but got back into it in the last few years. My son is 11, so its one of the few shows we can watch with him.

I think they have done enough to keep the show fresh, new challenges, new twists, bringing back favorite players, without completely starting over. As long as Jeff Probst decides to keep coming back (why wouldn't he?) or someone gets maimed, the show will be around for awhile.
